It's Christmas

I had my head rested against the wheel when I heard a knock on my passenger side window. I lifted my head and looked only to see Johnson there, I sighed and unlocked the doors. Right after I did that, she opened the door and got in. It was silent for a few moments before she spoke up.

Johnson- That conversation inside was definitely filled with tension, mind explaining to me what's been happening during these visits?

Julia- We just argue, I guess. I think there's only been a handful of times were we actually had a decent conversation other than that it ends with one of us being pissed off or upset.

Johnson- So do you think it's a good idea to keep coming here? I mean we don't want him ruining his chances of getting out of State early because of an outburst.

Julia- I'm not just going to abandoned him. I said that from day one, he doesn't have anyone else coming to see him so I'm the only one. I don't care how much we fight; I won't just stop coming.

She nodded as I leaned back in my seat, it was silent again before she yet again spoke up.

Johnson- The bail will be high when it gets posted. Considering the fact, he got into a fight whilst being here, that's going to make things hell of a lot worse there. I'm going to be honest with you, I did my research. I think Robby might have some trouble when he gets there.

Julia- What's that supposed to mean and how high are we talking? 

Johnson- The bail will be posted about 7K if that, pretty high but not too bad. With the trouble part, I did my research on Robby's past with selling drugs. I found out the guys names that he used to "work" with, Trey and Cruise. You know about them?

Julia- Yeah, I do. But what about them?

Johnson- They were arrested shortly after the end of August for drugs. They are in there for others thing, but I won't get into that. Considering Robby was also arrested but sent to Juvie, I'm sure they heard about it. They might believe that he told on them considering he was the only one working with them which means they are going to make things extremely difficult for him and us.

Julia- They were arrested and are going to be in the same jail as Robby? Have you told him yet? He can't be sent there, especially not with them.  

Johnson- *sighs* It's State, there's nowhere else he can be sent. He will be an adult so he can't stay here. My hands are tied when it comes to this. I'm just his probation officer, I have no say in what happens from here.

I put my hands on my face trying to think of what can be done, but as you can expect nothing came to mind. I let out a sigh of annoyance and put down my hands.

Johnson- What else do you know about Trey and Cruz because you seem to know quite alot

Julia- I don't know too much, I met them 3 times. When I first moved here, then again when Robby was showing me around town than the incident at the beach.

Johnson- Incident? 

Julia- Yeah. Me, Robby and the Larusso's had all gone to the pool for a little hangout thing. He had walked off after a while, so I had followed him. When I got to this little bridge part, Robby was pulling out all kinds of wallets and phones from this hidden part under the bridge. Trey and Cruz came out of nowhere, one of them had hit him in the head with an oar and then he was placed into a chokehold of some sort. I had walked down there to help him, but I guess I made it worse. Trey had looked at me and said, I remember this. by heart. "Robby, you still have this girl? Man, she got even hotter than the last time I saw her and Cruz, I was right she does look better with less clothes." I don't think I ever felt more uncomfortable in my life.

Johnson was listening to every word; I don't know what her expression was since I avoided her gaze and kept looking at my steering wheel.

Julia- But shortly after that, Daniel had come out of nowhere and helped him. That was the first time Robby ever told me about what was really going on with them and what he was doing before I met him. I hadn't seen them since.

I finally looked over at her and saw she was writing this all down. I was confused till she looked at me.

Johnson- The things you just told me can be added to their charge. The assault, the harassment all of it. If you know anything, you should tell me because this can be helpful and keep those bastards in jail.

Julia- Uh they used to sell things like electronics and stuff. I only remember that because when I first met them, they had tried to steal my phone and were going on about how they were going to sell it till Robby showed up.

Johnson- *writing something down* Pull up craigslist for me, if they were selling things that's the first place, they would put it on.

I nodded and pulled out my phone, I forgot that the contact list was still pulled up on my phone so right when I opened it all you could see was Robby's name with a heart and a photo of him above it. I looked at Johnson who was just smirking before I quickly closed out of the thing and went to start searching up craigslist's. To some this up, we ended up finding the items they were selling on there since the idiots put their real names and contacts as the listing. Johnson started taking pictures of the items with her phone before she looked at me.

Johnson- This is all really good. Robby admitted to taking that prescription drug, saying they gave it to him. They are 20-21 years old giving a minor who was what 16-17 at the time a drug. This all can keep those assholes locked up for a long time. 

Julia- Are you sure this is the only place Robby can go? They will hurt him the second they see him; trust me I have seen how they were when he tried to get away from them. He won't last long in there with them.

Johnson- I'm sorry but this is the only place, there's no other place that he can go. There will be guards and everything, I'm sure they will break up any fight that happens. He just needs to last two months with them and then he can be out.

Julia- Two months is a long time, Johnson. I won't be able to see him till I turn 18 myself because of my mother. He won't be able to do it. They are going to make his life hell; I know he can hold his own but there's two of them and one of him. No one will protect him from what's to come.

Again, the car filled with silence. There wasn't much more to be said. We both had valid points, and we both know that he's screwed no matter what. We both looked at each other and collectively agreed to go back in so that's what we did. We walked in and took a seat at the table, not even like 10 minutes later Robby was brought in. He looked at me confused as he walked over and sat down.

Robby- What are you doing here? Figured you were mad at me or something.

Julia- It's Christmas. Feliz Navi-fucking-ad.
