The Fall- Robby Keene

parole (pt.1)

The next morning, I woke up to my alarm going off. I had set it last night so that way I wouldn't sleep in when I was supposed to meet Robby by the basketball court. I yawned and got up before quietly going to shower, once I did all of that I got myself ready before making myself something to eat. After all of that, I grabbed my keys off the table and quietly ran to my car before driving to the basketball court. I sat in my car and replied to some messages on my phone while I waited for Robby. About 10 minutes later, I heard what sounded to be the sound of a skateboard coming down the parking lot. I looked out my window just to see Robby skating down, I got out of the car right as he stopped his board and picked it up. I leaned against my car with my arms crossed over my chest as he walked over to me.

Julia- you could have asked me to come get you

Robby- yeah, I know but I don't need to wasting gas when it only takes me less than 10 minutes to get here from where I'm staying

Julia- and where are you staying?

he looked at his board before opening my back door and placing it inside as he shut it again looking at me once more.

Robby- too early for that kind of talk. I have to meet with my parole officer today and I forgot to tell you that yesterday

Julia- alright that's fine, I can take you

he nodded as he walked to the passenger side of the car, he got in as I did the same. I started the engine and began to drive. Once we got there, he got out and I did the same making him look at me.

Robby- you don't have to come in, it's just a quick meeting

Julia- nah I'm coming with you, I want to meet this person anyways

Robby- alright whatever you say

I walked over to him as I interlocked our hands, we walked inside the building and headed over to the front desk. she handed him this clipboard with a paper on it that he needed to file out, he took it before we walked over to these chairs and sat down. As Robby was filing out his paper, I heard the door open making me look up and see Tory walking out. I stood up as she looked at me and started walking over, not even a second after I got up Robby got up and put his arm in front of me causing me to stop in place as Tory stood in front of us.

Tory- yeah, go for it. they'll send you right back to juvie. 

Robby looked at her as Tory spoke

Tory- looks like we are in the same boat

Robby- thanks to you for starting the fight

Tory- and you for finishing it.

there was silence for a few moments, I felt Robby tense up bit as he looked down at his feet. I looked at him as I looked down at his hand, I noticed he was kind of fidgeting with the bracelet with his point finger. Tory looked at me than followed where my eyes were looking, in which she saw Robby also messing with the bracelet.

Tory- you two are still together? I thought you broke up.

Julia- excuse me?

I started moving towards Tory again which knocked down Robby's arm that was over my chest but this time, Robby had grabbed my sweatshirt hood yanking me back slightly which caused my body to slightly stumble backwards.

Robby- Jules, do you know where we are? stop it.

I looked at him hearing the firm tone in his voice, I felt my fist clench as I looked at the girl at the desk than at Tory. I stepped back as I dug my nails into the palm of my hands while Robby let go of my hood. the door opened as I looked towards it, Tory looked at Robby as she was starting to walk backwards.

Tory- oh, that part about home life, just check 'stable'. they never check anyways

I watched her walk away as Robby was called back, I was too focused on watching Tory leave that I didn't notice Robby trying to pull me to walk with him. he gave a soft but firm tug on my wrist causing me to look at him before following him back to the po's office.
