emotional rollercoaster

Monday. I can't be the only person in the world who hates Mondy's. school was just as bad if not worse, I had two tests today and I failed one by a single point! I never fail my test ever. also, during lunch, Yazmine was on a whole new rocker, so I had to deal with that which I'm not a mean person but i have never wished for someone to shut up so bad. anyways besides that horrible thing, I had my first day at work today. I drove right over there after school since my shift started at 3. I walked inside and Daniel was waiting for me on the show room floor, I smiled at him as he handed me the shirt so I went to change into it before running back to him so he can show me how things run around here.

Daniel- alright so this is pretty much everything you will be doing, nothing too hard and hey you get a discount for working here so if you need your car fixed 

Julia- *chuckles* how do you know my car needs to be fixed?

Daniel- based off last week's interaction and taking a small peck at it, that car is doomed from the start.

I laughed and went to say something to him when one of the cars turned on, Daniel ran over to it as people seemed panicked. I realized Robby was the one who started it, he looked worried and upset when Daniel was talking to him before he stormed out. I saw Louie laughing making me sigh and follow Daniel out so we could catch up with Robby. by the time I got out there, Daniel was having Robby deflect these punches and punch the right way making me confused. I waited till they were done before I walked over, Daniel patted Robby on the shoulder and went inside which left us outside.

Robby- since when did you get a job here?

Julia- last week, I just started today though. Daniel offered it to me

Robby- they already gave you a shirt too?

Julia- yup, seems they had this all planned

he nods before we started to walk inside. Once we got inside, we both went off to do our own jobs which he was putting stickers on the cars, and I was cleaning up the floor. By the time my shift had ended, it was around 5:45. I was getting my phone and keys from the back when I started heading to the door. Robby was talking to Daniel and Amanda when Sam came in, she looked around before spotting me and running over. she grabbed my wrist and started pulling me out as I waved goodbye to everyone else. she didn't say anything till we got to my car and were inside.

Sam- I have so much to tell you when you get to my house!

Julia- wait since when did we have this planned?

Sam- since now! I couldn't tell you over the phone and I was just going to wait till lunch, but I can't, so I have decided to have you come over!

Julia- alright to let me text my Mami so she doesn't assume things again

I sent a quick text to my Mami before i started to drive to Sam's. we got there and we went straight to her living room and sat down completely ignoring her brothers exist as we did.

Julia- alright what did you need to tell me?

Sam- okay first off! Miguel let me work with him today is science, which was really sweet, and second of all how was working with Robby??

Julia- well Miguel is a sweet kid so I can see why he let you, and uh it was nice I mean we didn't really talk since you know we both were working so

Sam- did he ever tell you why he got banned from the laser tag place?

Julia- nope and I haven't had a chance to ask so, also why was your dad teaching him like karate moves today in the parking lot?

Sam- oh? robby didn't tell you, my dad is teaching him karate. he might even enter that all valley tournament too

Julia- *shocked and confused* wait what -

I didn't get to finish my sentence as I heard someone walk in making us turn our heads, Robby entered the living room and looked at us odd probably not expecting us to be here whatsoever.

Robby- uh sorry, i was looking for Mr. LaRusso. Jules, how come you are here?

Jules- *points to Sam* what about you? why are you looking for Daniel?

Robby- sales report that he wanted

Sam- *looks between the two* uh I think my dad's in the dojo in the back if you want to go out there or wait for him in here

Robby nodded as he locked eyes with me, we didn't say anything as he awkwardly broke the contact and walked out of the house most likely going to find Daniel. 

Sam- I'm shocked he hasn't told you about karate, I would have figured he would have

Julia- yeah, me too but maybe he just hasn't had the time. that could be it

Sam- hopefully, I mean I don't see a reason for him to hide it when he has done all this other stuff anyways in his past

Julia- uh let's not talk about this, yeah? keep telling me about you and Miguel, or whatever

she nodded and went on this whole tangent talking about things between them and how everything is going great and all this stuff. I tried to listen, but my brain kept going back to Robby, I'm confused to why he hasn't told me about karate or the incident at laser tag. after a while of her talking, Amanda came in and said that Daniel's mom was coming over, so I took that as my que to leave. I said my goodbyes to them before I drove myself home, I parked my car before heading inside. I walked in and saw Miguel, Yaya, my Mami and Miguel's Senesi all sitting at the table eating.

Carmen- ah mija! finally, come sit, Johnny this is my daughter Julia

Johnny- oh you're the one who came to get Miguel at the dojo

my mom looked at me confused as I sat down while Yaya went to grab me a plate, I sighed and gave him a small smile

 Julia- yeah, I am. it's nice to finally meet you Johnny

Yaya gave me my food and the dinner went on; Miguel got a call from Sam, so he went off to his room to talk to her while Mami picked fun at it. till the conversation switched to my mami talking about mine and Miguel's father.

Carmen- I got married at 18. I had Julia when I was first married and Miguel afterwards, I learned the truth about my husband's job and we had to move far away from him.

Johnny- I'm sorry

Julia- can I be excused? I'm not hungry

Carmen- sure Mija

my Yaya gave me a sad smile as I stood up and headed to my room, I could hear them still talking and I knew what it was about. I never liked hearing stories of my father or what I like the say of the man that I don't even know. I always avoided those topics which is why I ran off to my room and resorted in texting Robby.

Julia- can I ask you something?

Robby- sure, what's up?

Julia- why didn't' you tell me about you learning karate?

Robby- if I'm honest, I just started learning. I just never had the chance to tell you

Julia- one more question

Robby- shoot

Julia- why did you get banned from laser tag?

Robby- I think we should discuss this in person, some other time. it's better to hear in person

why the heck was that supposed to mean? 'Better to hear in person' great now I'm a little upset and confused. this is an emotional rollercoaster, I didn't know I was signing up for.
