Sam and I ended up heading back to her place to hang out and man was her house huge. I got to meet her brother, Anthony who was a little ass if you're asking me. but beside the point, by the time Daniel and Amanda (her parents) got home they offered me to stay for dinner, so I texted my mom to let her know before I agreed. we all sat at the table and started to eat; they all were chatting while I just focused on eating since this was my first time eating with them.

Daniel- so Julia, do you work? I know you just came to here not too long ago, but have you ever worked?

Julia- uh well, I used to do a lot of sports, so work wasn't really in the picture, but I have always wanted to. you know so I could help mom with bills and stuff

Amanda- that's real sweet of you, Julia.

I smiled as I took a sip of my water before Daniel spoke again

Daniel- I don't usually do this, but we are short staff at the auto shop and Sam has already said she didn't want to work there. so, I was wondering if you wanted the job, it would be on the weekdays after school 3-5:30 at the latest 6 and you would get weekends off.

Amanda- you would get paid every other Friday, and work on the show room floor with cleaning and making sure the costumers are happy

Julia- that's really generous of you guys, thank you so much. I would love to take the job

Daniel- so it's settled, you start Monday

I looked in the corner of my eye and saw Sam smirking, I lightly kicked her with my foot making her let out a tiny laugh as she tried to cover it with a cough. the conversations continued as I got to know her family know and even texted my mom to let her know about the job. 

*skip to school and at lunch because I can*

I sat in lunch like normal with my friends as we all were chatting, Sam had slipped up about the whole job and Robby thing which left me to explain it all again.

Moon- wait so he just kissed you and friend zoned you? that's not cool at all!

Yazmine- maybe you were a horrible kisser

Sam- no that's not it, Yazmine. maybe he just panicked when my dad asked, sometimes when being asked a question you don't know about you just panic

Moon- that could be it, tell me what he said again

Julia- he said 'jules and i, were just friends'

Yazmine- than you guys are friends. what else could he mean?

Moon- yazmine, stop.

I shook my head as I looked at my phone, Robby had texted me not too long ago and he said he wanted to talk so I ignored whatever Yazmine was bickering about and texted him back saying I would meet him after school. so that's what I did. I drove to his house to pick him up before I drove us to the mini mart in which I parked the car so we could talk.

Robby- listen about the whole friend thing, I didn't mean it like that.

Julia- than what did you mean because it seemed pretty clear to me that you meant 'friends'

Robby- I was put on the spot when Mr. LaRusso asked, I didn't want to say we were something when I didn't even know myself. I didn't want to ruin what we started

Julia- and that is?

I was teasing and he knew it which is why he got is go to smirk on his face while he leaned over so his arm was rested on the cup holder thing that was between our seats, I turned my body, so I was facing him

Robby- I want to take you on a date, like an actual date.

Julia- oh really? and when will that be?

Robby- this weekend, Saturday. I'll pick the place and I'll text you the time, you can come pick me up and I'll tell you how to get there

Julia- always a mystery with you, Robby.

we looked at each other a little longer before leaning in, our lips locked as I placed my hand on his cheek to deepen it. we pulled away after a few moments smiling like idiots as we got back in our seats.

Robby- alright uh what do you want to do now?

Julia- well my mami is working, Yaya is being herself and my brother is at karate most likely being buddy buddy with his Senesi so you can come over if you like

Robby- I like that, but are you sure your mom will be okay with this?

I nodded with a reassuring smile before I drove us to the apartments. we came inside after I parked my car, we were laughing as Yaya turned her head to look at us. she was smirking making me groan internally as I knew what was going to be said while I was taking off my shoes

Yaya- ¿Quién es el niño? es lindo, tu tipo claramente (who is the boy? he's cute, your type clearly)

Robby- what she saying? 

Julia- *chuckles* hold on, cállate, se llama Robby. ¡No tengo un tipo! (shut up, his names Robby. I don't have a type!)

she laughed as she stood up before walking over to us, she took Robby's hand as he looked at me awkwardly, than looked back at her

Robby- uh hola, encantado de conocerte? (hi, nice to meet you?) that's all I know in spanish

Yaya- es un guardián, pero necesita trabajar en su español!(he's a keeper, but he needs to work on his spanish!) sweet boy you are. Oh! miggy estará en casa a las 7 y tu mami a las 12. Estaré en mi habitación (Miggy will be home by 7 and your mami by 12. I'll be in my room)

I nodded as she smiled and walked down the hall, I waited till I heard the door shut before I sighed and walked to the kitchen to grab us waters

Robby- your grandma seems nice, uh going to guess she likes me?

Julia- she likes a lot of people that speak Spanish, you got a gold star for your poor use of spanish

I threw the water bottle in which he caught it as we walked to the couch and sat down

Robby- hey, I tried. no need to judge

Julia- oh I'm judging big time, you need to go back to Spanish 101

he lightly shoved me away which made me laugh, we ended up just watching TV and ordering dinner as we hung out. I took him home before Miguel got home and I made sure he had something to eat and then I sat in my room to finish up some homework. I would say today went by smoothly but is it bad to say I'm nervous for the date? I mean it's my first date and it's with Robby. I'm screwed.
