The last two races were something else. Carlos getting a podium in Brazil and Charles getting another in Abu Dhabi securing his second place WDC Title. I was proud, Ferrari was happy, and it was all good vibes.
Seb held a dinner for the boys prior to the race and his retirement donuts were something the whole grid would treasure. Mick also not having a seat as well as Latifi made most sad too and I made sure to give them each a gift.
We spent a few days in Riyadh with Carlos and Isa before we got the shocking news that Daniel was back with Red Bull as their reserve driver which cracked up f1 Twitter then got back to Monaco on the 3rd of December.
"I think I'm going to have a nice talk with my mother, she's inviting me for dinner at 6pm."
"But we said we'd watch Shrek tonight."
"I wish I could stay my love but I think it's urgent."
"Okay, you can take my car if you'd like."
"The pista?"
"Of course just don't scratch it."
"I would dare." I kissed him goodbye before driving off to the restaurant my mother said to meet her. The moment I got there, I felt an unsettling chill in my spine.
We talked about our separated lives together and how things were starting to look up before I dropped the bomb on her.
"Mami, I'm pregnant." The aura of dinner turned sour
"What?"
"I'm pregnant, I found out after Texas." I continued. "Charles and I have been doing well too and I was thinking of telling him about my condition."
"But you won't tell him, right?" She switched to Italian which she did whenever we were out and she didn't want anyone to eavesdrop.
"Why not?"
"You know why, you can't tell him. You know that right?"
"But I think he can take it, plus we're actually communicating now." I asked even though I wasn't going to tell him either
"Anna, it's for your own good. Do you know how he'd react if he knew you hid it from him? You could go back to square one all over again and we don't want that do we?"
