Chapter 15 - Oh no! H2O!

Y/n's POV

"Chrissy wake up!"

A familiar song played in your ears, disturbing your peaceful snooze. Startled, you twist and turn in your bed, covering your noggin with your blanket.

The tune started playing louder & louder, and you hear faint giggling in the distance. "Argh, let me sleep," you groan. The music stops and someone whispers in your ear.

"There's a spider on your bed."

Shrieking, you immediately jump out of the covers and back away from the bed. "WHERE?! WHERE IS IT?!" You look up and see Player holding his phone laughing.

"I tricked you," Player smirks and you frown angrily. Player just ruined your precious beauty sleep! The audacity. You roll your eyes and yawn, stretching your muscles from the tension of laying in bed.

Grumbling, you grab your clothes and stomp into the bathroom and shut the door. You hear Player exiting the room, probably to notify the parents that you are now awake.

After doing daily morning deeds & accidentally ripping some of the seams of your brand new pants, you walk out of the bathroom and go to the living room. You are still frustrated because of what Player did, but you can't admit it wasn't funny.

"There's my angel sweetheart!" Your dad greets you when you enter the scene. "How did you sleep last night?" "I slept okay," you respond drowsily.

Player's mom says, "Buenos dias y/n! You woke up late today, I hope you got some good sleep!" You take in your surroundings, looking at where everybody's at. Your mother isn't there, your father is standing next to the flatscreen TV, Player's dad is out on the balcony, Player's mother is in the kitchen, & Player himself is sitting on the couch using his cellphone.

You take a seat next to your best friend, looking over his phone. He was on AO3 for a millisecond before switching to Tetris when you sat down.

"Oh, hey y/n," Player states while making eye contact with you. "Why did you blast that Stranger Things song in my ear while I was sleeping?!" You were ready, oh, so, ready to confront him on why he did that peculiar action to your snoozing self.

Player grinned. "Well, it was almost 9 and you were still sleeping, so I decided to be your personal alarm clock. Besides, it was a funny thing to do! So was telling you there was a spider next to you, which was hilarious."

Oh yeah. The spider thing. "Hmph, you almost gave me a heart attack there. What if I fainted and died because of you?! You're paying for my funeral bills then. Also, you kind of sound like Mike Wheeler."

"Haha, sorry, and yes I do sound like Mike Wheeler. I can do a perfect impression of him." "Impression? Your normal voice already sounds exactly like him!" You giggle & Player giggles too. "Oh yeah, while you were sleeping, I asked my parents where we were going today. My mom said she didn't even know there was a water park in Universal Studios and told all the other adults to go there today. So, that's our plan for today! Going to a water park!"

You gasp in excitement. "Yay! We're going to the water theme park! We're going to Volcano Bay!" Your dad joins in the conversation out of nowhere and says, "yep that's right. But since we have no bathing suits, guess we're just going to wear a T-shirt & shorts."

"Can't we just buy one from a souvenir shop?" You ask. That seems like the most rational thing to do. "Eh, well we could, but swimsuits are pretty expensive at places like this. Besides, nothing's wrong with swimming in your shorts!" Your dad cackles and you gotta admit, your dad has a point.
