A large burly man with the name Ryan became my handler when I was in my wolf form. Ryan and the doctor led me to a large room with an equine treadmill in the middle. The treadmill had walls all around it so I couldn't get out of the box even if I wanted to. Ryan unlocked the back if the glass wall and lead me onto the belt of the treadmill. they stood on a platform that was slightly above the ground so they could reach over the wall. Once Ryan put me into the box and climbed up on the platform the doctor flipped a switch and I started moving. I refused to walk at first but Ryan used a cattle prod to keep me moving. Every Time I would stop or slow down he would poke my rump or hind legs with the cattle prod. The treadmill was one of the easier exercises.
After the treadmill I was put in a small endless pool with the same glass walls. Slowing down in my swimming was not an option I was aloud to take. If I changed my pace to a slower one I would have a hot iron poked into my flank. The heat from the iron burnt my skin with every touch.
I left the exercise arena fully exhausted. I was looking forward to getting back to my bed and shifting back into my human body. Instead of going to my room, I was lead to a new room. The room I walked into was quite dim. The first things I noticed where the 3 large cages and a equally large stall. The stench of other animals filled my nose when I walked inside. I was lead to a large cage on the right side of the room. When I was safely locked in my pen te doctor spoke. "You have done well for your first day of training. We will train everyday on different skills. For now I want you to stay in your wolf form. If you try to shift back the guard will taze you into unconsciousness. Video cameras are all around the room. We will keep constant watch over you. Good night Olivia."
I hear a low growl from the metal cage beside mine. I glance around the room and see a striped coat belonging to the animal beside me. When I growl back it turns its head and casts a yellow gaze at me. I see the striped coat belongs to a tiger. This tiger is considerably smaller than me but never the less has a fierce look on its face. My eyes wander from cage to cafe, looking at the other creatures in the room. A large Palomino horse stands in the stall opposite from my cage. On my left is the largest cage in the room ,a bird cage ,holding a large grey owl with big green eyes. I stare at the bird for a few minutes before I hear the sliding of metal. A small tunnel is opened into the owls cage and a wood mouse scampers out from the hole. I watch mesmerized as the owl turns its large head in the direction of the mouse. The owl dives and snaps its wings open before it hits the metal bottom of the cage. Now hovering above the mouse the owl located its prey in the dark. Moments later the owl swoops down and grabs the mouse in its sharp talons. A loud squeal is heard then silence.
How long will I be in here? I ask myself before falling asleep, stretched out on the floor of my metal cage.
