Chapter 16

I shifted when I reached The Pit and pulled on some clothes. I placed my hands on eathier side of the hole and peered into the darkness. I could see a few feet into the hole and then it was pitch black. The floor was covered in sand and you had to crouch down. My finger tips touched the walls in some places and in others my shoulders brushed both sides. The tunnel took dips and turns and I could hear the other people coming in behind me. Their feet shuffled the sand as they tried to keep themselves upright with the steady decline and crouching making it difficult.
After about a mile of walking down it started to even out and I came to a large open room. My eyes had already adjusted to the darkness and I looked around at my sourroundings. My mouth gaped and I let out a squeal of excitement. The Pit was exactly that. A large underground rock arena. There were hallways and rooms carved into the rocks. In the center of the large round room was a large opening that was the arena.
A rail went all the way around the edge of the walk ways to keep from falling 20 feet down. I felt around on the wall beside me and looked for a light switch. Instead I found a huge flip switch so naturally I flipped it up. A crackle
Sounded and then one by one the lights flicked on. I walked up to the rail and looked down into the arena. I felt hands wrap around my waist and Drakes head layed on my shoulder. He kissed my neck. "Great isnt it?" I turned around and put my hands on his chest. I pecked his lips "Can you take me down the arena?" He nodded and grabbed my hand. He led me around to the opposite side and down a set of stairs. He pulled open a heavy wooden door and we stepped into the dirt. On the 4 sides of the arena there where metal sliding doors. "What are those doors for?" I stared at him and waited for an answer. "Behind those doors is a chute that leads to a big cage. We put animals and other wolves in the cages to come through the doors for training. Sometimes we put elk or deer or small animals in the cages to work on hunting. We put Lions, tigers, bears and other large carniverous animals when we want to work on fighting. If we ever have a prisoners we put them in the cages and we use it as a form of execution. They have a chance but not much. We actually will be training in all 3. Every pack member will do the hunting and fighting training but it is required that the Alpha and Luna deal with prisoners." I nodded my head. "You mentioned training suits earlier?" "Oh yes. They are in our rooms. What makes them so special is they shift with us. So whenever we shift back we are clothed." He gave a happy little smile. "We will start training tomorrow. For tonight everyone will get comfortable in their rooms. Lets go find ours." I guess that means we are sharing a room. We walk back to the door that we came from and go back up the stairs. Before we get to the top Drake smashes me against the wall and connects out lips. He taps the outside of my thighs and I jump. He effortlessly catches me and presses my back against the wall. He swipes his toungue across my bottom lip and I let him in. After a minute he pulls away biting my lip in the process. He kisses down my neck and scraped his teeth across where our mark will be. "Babe, I need you. My wolf needs you." I just but my lip and nodded. He set me down and we made our way to the first rock hallway. We followed the corridor down to a door at the end. When he opened the door it was beautiful. The walls were of course a dark rock and the bed was a dark oak wood with a large, fluffy red comforter and pillows. A door with a cast iron handle was on the opposite side. I assumed it was the bathroom. I walked over and opened the door. It was a luxerious bathroom to say the least. In the center of the room was a rain shower. And a large stone bathtub was in the corner. A stone sink and a fire place was also in the bathroom. The stone under my feet was heated and the tub was also heated. Lights hung on the walls to keep the lighting dim and mysterious. I have always wanted to use a rain shower so I stripped my clothes and got in. I turned the water on hot and stood as it rained down on my back. I heard the door open and I felt Drake step in behind me. I had a lufa in my hand an he took it from me. "Let me help you with that." He whispered into my ear. I moaned when he started massaging my shoulders with the lufa and kissing where the water rinsed the soap off. His feathery lips left goose bumps across my skin and I leaned back into his toned bare chest. This night can only get better.
