Prompt: Truth or Dare/20 Questions
Continuing on the AAP train, we have Zucchini, Aaron, and this time, the wonderful Kate Middleton.
"Welcome, welcome,"Kate said with a smile. "On today's episode of Behind the Voice, we have the second segment of our interview with for KING & COUNTRY."
"Glad to be back,"Joel said. "Um, after lunch."
"Right, so this is part two, so it'll be releasing tomorrow, you know, the day after we record. Because-"
"So, you actually release them the day of?"Vince asked, curious?
"Most of the time, we actually do. Well, we do release the serious interview first, and then the fun one."
"Why in that order?"Ben asked.
"So, we start off by getting to know each other,"Kate began. "Most of the time, artists are on a time crunch, because they're promoting something, maybe a single or an album. I actually prefer it when I am with an artist who isn't currently promoting, I feel like they're in a better headspace. But we do try to get to know each other, off air, and just chill. And then we do the serious interview, with 'deep' questions about their work, their lives, problems, just whatever. And then we do the fun silly one, where I ask 'stupid' questions and we just decompress. Because it can get really intense, as you may know."
"Oh, absolutely,"Luke said with a laugh.
"Okay, are we ready?"Kate asked.
"Uh..."Luke began.
"Don't worry about it, I won't pick on you too much."
"Oh God."
"Okay, so. What is the most useless invention, in your opinion, and provide your reason why."
"Portable chin rest,"Vince said.
"Um,"Ben said.
"Don't you own one?"Zucchini asked.
"Oh, really?"Kate asked, intrigued. "What do you do with it?"
"I, uh, I use it to organize my ties,"Ben responded.
"What?"Kate exclaimed. "Don't they have tie racks?"
"I'm thrifty."
"Says the one who bought a portable chin rest."
"Okay!"Kate said. "Uh, next person. Luke."
"Uh, I dunno, those car grills or whatever."
"Okay. Next question, if you could be a fly on the wall, who would you want to listen in on?"
"Ooh!"Ben exclaimed. "Um, Smallbone house after Joel pierced his ears. Oh, and then after he tried to elope with his then-now ex-girlfriend."
"What?"Kate asked.
"Uh, we've been off for a decade, no one cares,"Joel jumped in.
"Uh, I do?"Kate said.
"Uh, we were dating, my parents didn't like her, and we tried to get hitched at Bubba's Chapel of Bliss,"Joel said.
"And tackle shop,"Luke added.
"And tackle shop."
"Wow,"Vince said.
"I have no comment,"Kate said.
"Yeah,"Ben said.
"Um, so, I nominate Kate to answer,"Joel said.
"Uh, no, I'm the host."
"Do it, coward,"Aaron said.
Stunned silence.
"Who is this Aaron?"Kate asked.
"Not sure, maybe a clone,"Vince said.
"I dunno, really,"Kate said, in answer to the prompt. "Anyway, um, maybe Joel and Luke when they first started the band?"
"Yeah, it was violent. Very,"Joel said.
"That's putting it mildly,"Luke muttered.
"Alright, we're actually gonna take a quick break,"Kate said. "And just grab some pink lemonade-"
"Of course,"Zucchini said.
"Don't worry, babe, you're next."
"Oh, no."
"So, until then, pink lemonade."
