Prompt: First Dance
"I can't believe it,"Luke whispered. "We're finally married."
"It's crazy,"Courtney agreed, as the pair slow danced.
"But it's great."
"Yeah-oh!"
Luke stepped on the hem of her dress, sending Courtney down. But with skills honed after years of athletics, he managed to grab her, making it look like a dip.
They heard a woman coo.
"Look at how cute they are."
"Sure,"her companion grumbled.
"That was close,"Courtney hissed.
"I'm sorry,"Luke apologized.
"It's okay, I know it wasn't on purpose. It's just my horrible cousin Lena is here."
"Oh. Her?"
"Her."
Lena and Courtney's feud was famous in the Helm family, and Luke was afraid to get into it. They wouldn't touch that, yet. Not while they were on the dance floor.
In the meantime, they danced.
