Later that evening, Cindy was discharged from the hospital and had to spend the remaining days of that week in her parents house. The looks and stares her parents were giving her when they arrived home were likely suggesting that they wanted a to sit down and have a very long conversation with her, but she was not ready and she was not going to be even in the near future.

She carried her bag and headed up stairs, she shut the door behind her and her phone buzzed in her side pocket. She took it and looked at it surprised, it was Justin.

'' We need to talk,'' He texted.

Cindy gripped her fist angrily and wanted to throw her phone but before she could it started ringing. It was Justin, she didn't want to pick but again she didn't want her mom coming upstairs. She had to choose one which was answering Justin's call.

'' Please stop calling me, I'm trying so hard to hold in my anger, I don't want to talk to you Justin, don't call me again or I'll block you for good."

"Wait, don't hung up, I called becau..... hello...Cindy... hello,  arrrg, she hung up."

Justin called again and again but it was in vein, he really wanted to talk to her, four years had already passed since they last spoke, he wanted to make it up to her but how could he undo the hurting past. It was too painful to remember or even bring it up in a conversation, but the truth needed to be clearly spoken and issues aired out. He had to be brave and reach out to Cindy until she was completely healed.

"Are you coming down for dinner, " her mom asked.

"In a few mom , I need to shower and get rid of the hospital stench that's on me."

Cindy quickly cleaned herself and headed down stairs for dinner. It had been a long day and she wanted to finish up and sleep. Her mom had made her favorite dish, as they sat round the dining table each one eating to their satisfaction, it was so quiet and this gave an awkward vibe. Her dad constantly stared at her throughout dinner and Cindy had to break the ice.

"Dad do I have something on my face?" she asked smiling.

"Nope, I'm just glad you are okay,"

her dad couldn't go further than that, but only for that day, he wanted to be the best dad he could possibly be by knowing what Cindy's life was like. He hoped He had not started too late. He wanted to introduce Cindy to his Christian lifestyle which she didn't like after he had mentioned to her a few times, but after what he had heard from the doctor earlier he had decided to go on about his faith slowly until she accepted it.
