Down at the conference room, everything was done with excellence. Jake hoped that the guests who were still on the way would arrive on time so as to avoid disrupting the event.
The curtains were still down and the guests were sitted calmly.Cindy was also checking out and arranging her work in order and waiting for further instruction. The person that was in charge of balancing sound played soft music so as to ease the atmosphere . There were seven minutes left for the event to kick off. Cindy displayed the remaining time on the projector and below the displayed time was written....
"WELCOME TO OUR SECOND ART GALLERY THIS YEAR WE PROMISE NOT TO WASTE YOUR TIME."
As the sitted guests waited anxiously while others took pictures of the magnificent surrounding , the second group finally arrived. The timer was counting seconds, fity nine, fifty eight, thirty six, twenty two, eighteen.
It was calm and quiet and everyone had settled down the music stopped and the curtains were raised.
"Good morning ladies and gentlemen. " Jake said with a wide smile on his face.The crowed responded and Jake carried on.
"This event is being carried out because you are present , we really appreciate your coming and you are very much welcomed to see what we have in store for you , I know that by the end of this art gallery you will not want to go home."
The crowd murmured as they laughed.
"Jake looked at them and said while laughing " I was just joking , we don't even have rooms for accomodation,"
Laughter could still be heard in the crowed and Jake finally said,
"Welcome once again to our second art gallery and we will be starting our presentation briefly."
Cindy immediately started displaying their work in the projector and Jake carried on in explaining in detail the different hand drawings, paintings, nature photographs and graphic design items that were being displayed. They were really good. The uniqueness in each item made them give a perfect view to the eye as they were being displayed the crowd was satisfied, it could be seen in their faces.
Jake was also doing a good work in presentation, he did not leave any detail out and had a good stage presence. He never stopped smiling and telling Jokes so as to ease the atmosphere.
From time to time he would throw a glance at Cindy and smile and because Cindy did not want to raise any suspicions she smiled back and remained professional all through out. She knew that if she allowed anxiety to take over then the event would become chaotic. She heard her inner voice say to her, "stay calm and collected you can do this."
The crowed was satisfied as Jake ended the presentation and bowed with gratitude.
An uproar and echo of claps could be heard from the crowd and the staff of the art gallery company high fived each other with smiles and satisfaction, they had really done an excellent job.
After the presentation was over it was time for the models to walk though the run way, this was not part of the work they were doing but it was a form of entertainment for appreciating the guests for attending the art gallery.
The event was finally over, Jake got to sign multiple contracts with different business organisations and build different friendships. He was quite popular in the business world. Cindy and Andria directed the guest where to snack and socialize before they could leave.
As the guests flocked the path and went into the room they were led in, waiters and waitresses were in position ready for their service. This was the perfect moment for Cindy to execute her plan. She looked around and at the moment no much help was needed, even the staff was hungry and went to dine.
