Cindy knew that as soon as she got discharged from hospital she would find her things at her parents. If it wasn't for her boss arrrg.... he had ruined everything and again...yes her missing diary and credit card, why would life have to be so boring and annoying at times she wondered.
She tried to lift her left foot to rush to the washrooms but her painful spine wouldn't allow her.
It was so funny that it made her laugh out loud, how in the world was her spine connected to her chest, she then remembered being unable to breath and falling down earlier when her boss had scared the life out of her.
One thing she was definitely certain about was she was not going to let anything that happened in the past ruin her present life. Later that evening her mum dropped by and brought her food. The next day was Sunday and afterwards Monday the day she loathed. Her family members except her dad were not faithful church goers and she herself didn't want anything to do with God. Cindy never liked the so called religious conversations because she hated the fact that her sister died and religion was not able to save her. She rarely attended church and avoided the streets at night and also during the day. She took her cellphone and went through it, she needed something to distract her from the pain she felt in her spine and chest. She had many friends but could contact none for her own safety, she rarely turned her GPS on for fear of the past especially now that she had no one to protect her.Supper was served and the doctor that attended to her promised that she would be released on Sunday evening. At night she informed the nurse to turn off the lights after she was asleep but today was different she couldn't fall asleep, was it because of the drug she was given before eating she thought, anyway she had to sleep because the lights were to be turned off before midnight and it was already quarter to midnight.
