The streets were full and people were matching,  lighting up fire wax and enjoying the weather. Cindy was still in the library,  she loved to read , it gave her a sense of calmness and comfort. She had thought of writing a book one day but the scary incident had changed her mind. Back in the days she was not so much popular in school but many people knew her because she used to sing with a group of her besties. They used to write songs together and their songs were known and enjoyed in school. They had promised that their songs would hit the billboards  once they graduated but who knew this would become a short lived dream.
She had left that life behind, she didn't carry her guitar  and music book when they moved, she had promised to live a different life and glad that her parents had agreed to move from Texas.

As she was reading it was almost noon. She remembered she had turned her phone off the previous night. She powered it on and got a number of missed calls from her mom, Jake of course and a message from the HR wishing her a happy holiday. It was time to go, she would pass by again at the library in the coming weekend. She careful placed back the book she was reading "YOUNG AT HEART"
She passed by the supermarket and grocery shop and didn't forget to buy Bianca ice cream. She arrived home at around three in the afternoon. Bianca heard the hoot of a car and knew it was her sister, she ran outside throwing the toys she was playing with down and leaving a pile of dust behind. Her mom could not help but laugh at the situation.
Cindy had parked her car and was getting out when she saw Bianca running towards her smiling with her arms opened.

"Besty,"  she shouted as she jumped on Cindy.
"Chipmunk," the two sisters hugged each other joyfully and Cindy kissed her on the cheek. Bianca wanted to help carry the shopping bags but she was so tiny and they were too heavy.

There was another car on the compound, "Hey mom, I have missed you, she said as she tightly held on to her mother. Rachel patted her hair in response almost crying happily.
"Did dad buy a new car?" Cindy asked astonished.
""It's not dad's besty, your boyfriend is home, he bought me chocolate and now we are besties with him."
"Wait a minute, who.. how   what boyfriend?" She asked standing still and not moving an inch. Her mom watched her and giggled not answering her but walking towards the house.

"Chipmunk come over," cindy said as she dropped the shopping bags on the floor.
"What boyfriend are you talking about?"
"Yours besty, he is more handsome than daddy, he said to daddy that he wanted to court you."

Cindy was in a daze for a moment, she remembered the text from yesterday,  Jake had told her that if she kept ignoring him then he would stop at her house, she didn't know he meant her parents house. What she was avoiding had finally come to reality, she knew her mom would agree with Jake without hesitating about them getting together. Cindy wanted to get in her car and drive of without looking behind but she had made a promise to Bianca and a promise is a debt. The only thing she would do was breath in and out and try to remain as calm as possible because after all she couldn't avoid the issue forever.

She carried the shopping bags with Bianca on her side and entered home. She did not like her outfit because her shots were so tiny and she had a crop top. She first went to her room and changed in the speed of lightning then came out and washed her hands. She dropped the shopping in the  kitchen and greeted her dad and Jake. Jake was helping her dad prepare Turkey acting like a son in law and Cindy had not agreed to anything. He looked at her smiling sheepishly, then Bianca out of no where shouted,
"Uncle Jake your wife is home and she has bought my favourite ice cream. I was just wondering will you two get married and have a kid like me so that I can become a big sister."

Tom let out a loud laughter and Jake kept staring at Cindy smiling and loving Bianca's idea.
