Back at her work place guests were leaving, as she walked through the hallway she was suspicious of everyone that was passing her way. The restleness in her would not just go away, she couldn't help but feel unsafe, there was no one to tell what she had encountered not even her parents. When she reached a safe corner, she took out her cellphone and dialed Justin's
number, her hands were trembling that it took time before she finally managed to call him.
She was finally able to call him. "He...ll...o, Ju...s ..ti..n ," she stumered.
" Hey Cindy, I've been trying to reach out but you kept shutting me out, can we meet, I promise I mean no harm.""Do you know the amount of courage it has taken me to decide calling," she said. Justin was happy that at least her voice was no longer Shaky, he knew something was up but was waiting to know what it was.
''The fact that I'm calling you doesn't mean I have forgiven you, I hope you are not playing any dirty games with me, are you the one that sent a blank note at my work place."
"I swear Cindy on my name, it's not me, I have a clean intention, I just want the both of us to...."
"Forget it Justin, there is no us, tell your friends and especially your best friend if I find out he's the one pissing me off and trying to scare me I'll hand him over to the cops."
"Cindy...hello....hello,"
she had hung up Justin wanted to clear whatever happened in the past but it was not going to be an easy thing to do. He wished that Cindy would just listen. He knew she was traumatised and pissed of, no one in their right mind would remain sane after experiencing that buried tragedy. It was too dark and traumatizing to speak of. He had really missed her and wanted to make it up to her.
Cindy decided to put aside what she had gone through and instead thought of the art gallery that was fabulous. She had about a month and a half remaining for her to go to college, she would be carrying out her course work online. She really wanted to quit her job but couldn't because she had not found a new work place. After clocking out she walked over to her car, sighed then drove off home.
"She ordered take out for dinner and then went to shower, it was a very long day for her, she took her time in the bath tab until she heard the door bell. She quickly dressed up and went down stairs. It was the delivery guy, he had brought her take out, she thanked him closed the door and her curtains and devoured the meal that was before her.
As she was eating her cellphone buzzed, it was a notification. She picked her phone and looked at it,
"Thank you Cindy for making this day successful, I don't know what I would have done without you, can I show gratitude by taking you out for dinner? it will also be an opportunity to return your stuff.""Whatever!" she said after deleting the message and throwing her phone on the sofa. The food in front of her was no longer appetizing after reading the message she had received. She emptied the remaining food in the dustbin and went to clean the dishes, her cellphone on the sofa started ringing continuously and she had a hint who was calling. The continuous buzz was annoying and frustrating , she wanted to pick the call and give Jake a piece of her mind but could not. She had no choice but to head towards the sofa and get rid of the buzzing phone.
