"Lily?" You mumbled as you lifted your head from your girlfriend's shoulder.

You were curled up on the sofa in Lily's arms, trying anything you could to find warmth and comfort during the case of the flu that you've come down with.

Lily has been taking care of you all day and you're so appreciative of her, now more than ever since you're so sick and weak to do much on your own.

But she knew you were going to ask her to do something else and you watched her roll her eyes before taking a deep breath and looking at you.

"Yeah?"

"Can you get me some water? I'm feeling a little nauseous again."

"Fine." She sighed before getting up from the sofa.

Returning a moment later, she handed you a bottle of cold water and you thanked her.

You turned the cap and took a few sips before putting it on the table.

"I'm cold." You said as the chills returned once more. "Can you get me a blanket?"

She huffed in annoyance before getting back up to go grab you an extra fluffy blanket from the closet.

"Here." She said as she tossed it at you and then sat down beside you.

"Thanks?" You said as you furrowed your eyebrows in confusion and then covered yourself up with the blanket. "Can you cuddle me? I'm freezing."

"Sure." She said and watched as you put your head on her chest. "What else can I do for you, your highness?"

"What?" You frowned.

"Do you need some soup? Should I go turn the heat up for you? Do you need me to go to the store for some medicine for you?"

You pulled away and stared at her with a confused expression she'd usually find adorable but just got annoyed with today.

"Look, if you're tired of helping me, that's fine. I can do things for myself but you're the one who said I could ask you for whatever and you'd be okay with doing it." You reminded her.

"Well, I'm not! You're annoying the hell out of me today, Y/N! I took the day off of practice today to take care of you but I should've gone. You're clinging to me constantly and I can't stand it!"

"Wow," You scoffed. "If that's how you feel then it's not too late. Why don't you just go?"

You got up and went into the kitchen and Lily followed you.

"I'm not done talking to you." She said as she folded her arms over her chest.

You grabbed a few crackers with the plan of going to the bedroom and taking some time to rest and get some space away from Lily.

But that's not how it would go.

"I don't want to do this, Lily. I'm tired and I feel sick to my stomach and I just want to rest. I don't want to argue. If you feel that way, then stay down here or go to practice. Because now, you're being annoying!"

You watched as she raised her hand and with a look of fear in your eyes, you turned your face and covered it with your hands.

Lily had only been going to fix her hair since a few strands had been tickling her face but at the time, in the heat of the moment, your mind wandered off.

"Y/N?" She spoke in shock and you pulled your hands away from your face.

You looked at her as you both let it set in that you thought she was going to hurt you.

You didn't know what to do or say and you felt anxious about everything.

So you hurried to the bedroom as she followed right behind you.

"Baby!" She said as she knocked on the door as you slammed it right behind you, keeping her out. "Open the door! Please, baby, I'm begging you."

But there was just silence in response.

"I'm sorry for what I said back there. I didn't mean it. I don't know why I said it and I'm so sorry. But you have to believe me when o say that I would never put my hands on you, not ever."

She heard you sniffle from the other side of the door.

"Baby, please, believe me. I wouldn't ever hurt you. No matter how angry I get or how terribly we argue, I would never ever hurt you."

You opened the door a few seconds later and watched a look of relief appear on her face.

She pulled you into her arms and held you tight.

"I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry too." You said. "I know you wouldn't hurt me. I didn't mean what I said either."

She let you go and caressed your cheek softly as your eyes locked with hers.

"It's okay. Everything's okay." She assured with a kiss on your forehead.

"Everything except for me being sick with the flu." You said and watched her lips pull into a smile

"Right." She said as she remembered that. "Get your cute butt into bed and let me take care of you."

She guided you to the bed and you laid down and as she started to cover you up, you remembered what she said.

"If you don't want to-"

"Don't." She said as she put her finger over your lips. "I didn't mean that. I'm just tired. I didn't get much sleep last night because I was worried about you."

"It's okay, I understand." You said and closed your eyes as her lips brushed softly against your temple.

"Let me take care of you."

"I love you." You tiredly spoke as you started to fall asleep.

But a little smile pulled at your lips when you felt her lay down next to you and pull you close.

"I love you more."
