Annalise

I couldn't believe I had just sat down to lunch with Harry Styles.

Wow! I am in shock right now, I thought as I drove back to school. He has my number. He might call.

"Calm down, Annalise. He's just a guy. Oh, what am I saying," I thumped myself in the head, "he's famous. Although, he didn't act anything like I thought someone famous would act. He was very down to earth, and when he blushed, it made me want to hug him." I groaned. "Ah, Annalise, you can't go around hugging pop stars.

Parking my car, I blew out a rough breath. "Okay, just go to class. Think about this later."

Finally, two hours later, my classes were over for the day, and I could go home. Not that I got much out of class, too busy thinking about Harry and how he just seems so familiar. I feel as if I know him, yet I know we have never met.

Walking in the door of my house, I yelled, "Mom, I'm home!"

"Hi, Annalise. I'm in the kitchen. How was your day? Classes good?"

"Yeah, the class was good, Mom, but I have some news," I said as I sat down at the table and picked up an apple.

"What kind of news?" Mom asked, turning from the stove to look at me. "Do I need to sit down?"

I laughed. "No, Mom, it isn't bad, just... Well, I don't really know, shocking maybe."

"I'll just sit down then. Now spit it out."

"Okay. So, I went to McDonald's for lunch, and after getting out of my car, I ran into a guy. I mean, I literally ran into him, or maybe he ran into me? Anyway, we ended up eating lunch together."

"So, you met a guy, is that what you're telling me? What's so shocking about that? I mean, meeting someone is a good thing, isn't it? Was he cute? Did he ask for your number?"

"Mom, please. Yes, he's cute, and his name is Harry. Yes, I gave him my number. I hope I see him again, but I don't know if I will because..."

"Because why?"

I sighed. "Mom, he's Harry Styles from the band 'One Direction. What would he ever see in me? I'm just a plain girl. Not a model, actress, or even a singer. In fact, we both know my singing would scare the birds away! "

"Oh, love, you are a beautiful girl inside and out, and if he doesn't see that, then he doesn't deserve a second thought from you."

"The thing is, Mom, there's something else..."

"What?"

I frowned thoughtfully, "It's like I should know him.. He is so familiar somehow."

"Well, he is famous, so maybe you just recognize him from all the publicity he gets."

"No, it's something else. I'm drawn to him. As much as I thought I loved Chris, I never felt this way about him."

"You know, being an American Indian, your father believed that you live more than one lifetime. He probably would say you knew Harry in another life."

"Hm, maybe. All I know is I felt really comfortable with him. I could have sat and talked to him all day if I hadn't had to go to class."

"Okay. You said Harry is cute. What does he look like?"

"Well, he's probably five foot ten or eleven. He has brown curly hair, which he hid under a beanie hat. He has the cutest dimples when he smiles, which makes you want to say something to make him smile so that you can see them. He also has the brightest green eyes I have ever seen. Wait a minute!" I gasp. "Mom, that's it; his eyes are green!"

"Like in your dream?" Mom asked, and I nodded. "Love, don't look too much into it. There are a lot of green-eyed men in the world."

"Yes, but what are the odds of my feelings toward him after just meeting him and him having green eyes?"

Mom took my hands in hers and squeezed gently, "Okay, then if this is the guy you are meant to be with, then it will all work out. Look at how I met Jack."

"He was kind and sweet, and I thought this guy was too good to be true. But Annalise, he says he loves me, and I believe him. He makes my heart pound with joy when I'm with him. Your Dad will always be my first love, and because he loved me, I know he would want me to be happy. That is why he came to you in your dream. That's why he told you to stop mourning him and to live. So, give the Harry fellow a chance. Forget about him being famous and get to know the man behind the fame."

"Your right, Mom. If it is meant to be, he will call, and I will give him a chance. Now, what's for supper?"

**THREE DAYS LATER**

It had been three days, and I hadn't heard from Harry. Maybe he wasn't the green-eyed man Dad talked about in my dream after all.

"Mom, I'm home, going to my room to study. I have bucket loads of work to do if I'm gonna pass my finals next week," I yelled as I ran up the stairs to my room.

Dropping my book bag, I sat down at my desk, pulling out books and notes. I had been at it for about an hour when my phone buzzed with a text. Grabbing it up, I looked at the screen.

*Unknown number*  Sorry it took me so long to get back in touch with you. Been crazy busy. Finally, have time to breathe and call. --Harry

I smiled.

*Annalise*  That's okay. I've been busy with classes. Finals next week, studying hard, need to pass!

*Unknown number*  Oh. Suppose you are busy then; I'll leave you to it. --Harry

What? I'm not too busy for him!

*Annalise*  I'm not THAT busy! Do you want to do something or just chat?

*Unknown number*  I had thought maybe a movie, something to eat if you like. I won't keep you out too late since you have school. --Harry

*Annalise*  Sounds lovely. Do you want me to meet you somewhere?

*Unknown number* No, text me your address, and I'll pick you up about 6:30 --Harry

So, that's what I did after adding Harry's number to my phone. Then looking at the time, I saw I had an hour to get ready. Running downstairs, I told mom I was going out before running for the shower.
