You wake up after a peaceful night. You sit up rubbing your eyes.

.

.

Looks like Mikey's still asleep.

Ah... . I'm hungry!

You think yawning, while standing up.

.

.

You walk quietly out of the room to the kitchen, where you see Emma preparing breakfast.

"Good morning!", you say smiling while you walk into the room.

"Good morning, Y/N!", Emma says smiling. "Did you have a good night?"

"Yeah, I haven't slept so good in a while.", you answer happily, now standing beside Emma. "Can I help you with something?"

"It's okay, everything's ready.", she says, smiling at you kindly. "I'll go get Mikey. You can sit down and wait until we're back."

"Okay.", you answer, sitting down on the table filled with food.

"Good morning.", Grandpa Sano says, entering the kitchen.

"Good morning!", you chirp back while he sits down and starts reading his newspaper.

Silence fills the room again. Getting bored you start to look around, taking in your surroundings while you wait for Mikey and Emma.

.

.

It's kind of nice... .

...having breakfast together with a family... .

We should have done that way more often... .

Mom... .

Bf/N... .

I really hope you are alright... .

You think sadly, hanging your head low.

.

.

"Y/N? What's wrong? Why do you look so sad?", Emma asks worried, entering the room alone.

"Huh?! Oh, nothing! Everything's alright!", you chirp back, fake smiling.

"Hm... . Okay, then let's start to eat.", she says, sitting down beside you.

"...morning'... .", Mikey says drowsy after coming into the kitchen with his blanked.

"Good morning!", you, Emma and Grandpa Sano say.

"Mikey! Don't always bring your old blanked to the breakfast table! Just get rid of it!", Emma yells at Mikey disbelieving.

"No. Never ever.", he answers annoyed before yawning.

"Why don't you just let him be?", you say, looking at Emma sadly. "Everyone has something that they treasure, and you should respect it. Especially if it's so important to him."

"Well... .", Emma says slowly, looking down awkwardly.

"And it's not something to yell about... . Well, I think... . Um... . Sorry to meddle in your family affairs... .", you say unsurely, smiling shyly at her.
