Chapter 30: Thunderstorm

"Nice. We've bought a watermelon and some ice cream. Let's eat!", Draken says calmly, grinning widely as he holds a big watermelon up.

"Awesome!!!", you yell excitedly, running to him with stars in your eyes.

"Did you buy some Dorayaki's for me too?", Mikey asks leisurely.

"Huh? No.", Draken says shrugging while Mikey looks disappointed, a pout forming on his face. Draken begins to smile as he takes something out of his bag. "But we've got Taiyaki ice cream."

"Wooow! Awesome! You're the best Ken-chin!", Mikey yells happily, grabbing one Taiyaki ice cream out of the bag and starts to eat it happily.

"Yeah, yeah. I'll go and cut the watermelon.", Draken says bored, walking to the kitchen as Takemichi stands beside us awkwardly.

"What the hell. I didn't know Taiyaki ice cream exists.", you say surprised, glancing at the Taiyaki in Mikey's hand curiously. "Can I try it, Mikey?"

"Hm? Sure.", he says blankly, holding the Taiyaki towards you while Takemitchy looks at you surprised.

You bite a piece off and smile happily to Mikey, completely oblivious to the fact that Takemitchy is there.

"Wow! It's so tasty! But normal Taiyaki's are still better!", you giggle excitedly while you get yourself your own Taiyaki ice.

"Right? It's the best.", Mikey says happily, as you two sit down on the porch leisurely. The strong winds rummaging through your hair.

"Um... . Can I have one too?", Takemitchy asks unsurely, glancing to you two nervously.

"Oh, Takemitchy. Totally forgot that you were here, hahaha!!", you say laughing amused before you take a Taiyaki ice from the bag and give it to him. "Here."

"Yeah... . You two were in your own world... .", he says a little annoyed, taking his ice cream as his eye twitches.

"Were we?", Mikey asks confused, looking at you while he eats the rest of his ice cream.

"Dunno.", you shrug uninterested before you lock eyes with Mikey and smile at him warmly.

"There! You do it again!", Takemitchy exclaims agitated, pointing to you two. "What's going on between you two?"

"Going on? Nothing's going on... . Haha-ha... .", you mutter awkwardly, avoiding his gaze nervously while some sweat rolls down your face.

"Hmm... .", Takemitchy hums disbelievingly as he looks at you two suspiciously while Mikey looks to the side blankly.

"A-Anyways. Your bicycle, Hayate, is almost fixed up!", you say nervously, trying to change the subject.

"Right! That's so awesome! I didn't think that we could save it!", Takemitchy says happily, glancing over to his bicycle excitedly.

After some time, Draken comes back with Emma behind him while he carries the cut-up watermelon.

"Here. The melons ready.", he says bored, placing the melon on the porch leisurely before he rummages through the bag. "Huh? Where's the ice cream?"

"Huh?", you and Takemitchy say in unison while Mikey swallows something quickly. You look at him blankly while he smiles happily.

"...Mikey. Did you really eat all the ice cream?!!", Draken yells at him madly, throwing the empty bag away before he balls his hands to fists irritated.

"Oh? Are they gone already?", Mikey says confused, looking at Draken surprised while you, Emma and Takemitchy start to laugh wholeheartedly.

Draken starts to scold Mikey annoyed while he looks away uninterested.
