Chapter 9: Movie with Mikey

You are back in the Sano residence and park your bicycle next to Mikey's room.

You start to walk towards Mikey's room, when you hear Emma calling out to you suddenly.

"Y/N?! You're back!", she says running to you, giving you a hug. "Where were you the whole day? Good that you're home, we are about to eat dinner!"

"Hehe.", you smile warmly, hugging Emma back. "Sorry! I was having fun with a friend!"

"Oh, okay? Then you must be hungry! I was about to get Mikey for dinner.", she says happily, after she released the hug.

"Really!? I'm starving!", you say happily, pretending to faint. "I'll go to the food first!"

"Wait for us!", she yells after you, giggling.

You ignore her laughing, running to the kitchen alone.

"That girl, really... .", Emma says disbelieving, shaking her head.

Emma was about to open Mikey's room, when the door suddenly opens revealing Mikey.

"Was Yurei-chin here a moment ago?", he asks Emma yawning, leaning on the doorframe tiredly.

"Yeah, she was. Weren't you asleep?", Emma asks him confused, tilting her head before she smirks to him. "Heeh~. Did you wake up after hearing her voice~?"

"Shut up, Emma... !", he mutters annoyed, walking to the kitchen while Emma grins gleefully, following him.

You walk into the kitchen happily, greeting Gramps before you sit down, a bright smile on your face.

"Did something good happen today? You look so happy.", Gramps asks, glancing to you with a small smile on his face.

"Yeah! I met a friend and went the first time to an arcade! It was so fun!", you say giggling excited, jumping up and down in your seat.

While you are telling Gramps everything, Emma and Mikey walk into the room and sit down too.

"That sounds like a fun day.", Gramps says to you smiling, before he takes his chopsticks. "Then let's eat!"

"Itadakimasu!", everyone says, before starting to eat.

"So, Y/N, with whom were you at the arcade?", Emma asks you suddenly, looking to you excited.

"H-Huh?!", you choke on your food. After drinking water, you calm down. Everyone is looking at you now.

"U-Um... . It's a secret... .", you say awkwardly, glancing away from everyone, rubbing your arms nervously.

"Heeeh~!", Emma says grinning teasingly. "Maybe a boyfriend?!!"

"N-NO!!!", you yell to Emma, embarrassed while Mikey tensed up. "It's not! Just a friend! A friend!"

"Heeeh~! Just a friend, huh?", Emma teases you, grinning while she plays with her hair.

"Emma, s-shut up... !", you yell at Emma suddenly, blushing hard because you remember what you said to Kazutora at the arcade.

Mikey stopped eating and is looking at you confused while Emma still grins like an idiot, watching your funny reaction.

"W-Whatever! I'm done eating! Bye.", you say awkwardly before you storm out of the room.

You run into Mikey's room and sit down on the couch. You wrap yourself with your blanked and grab you cat plushie.
