You both sprint as fast as you can until you're able to hide in a dark alley. Kazu pushes you against the wall and positions himself protectively in front of you, his gaze unwavering as he watches for any sign of the shopkeeper's approach.

You blush heavily as Kazu stands so close to you, and you can't help but wonder. Why do we keep ending up like this? Your heart pounds in your chest as moments pass, and Kazu remains stubborn, not budging an inch. You feel the warmth radiating from his body, his breathing gradually steadying. Finally, he turns his gaze back to you.

Your eyes lock, and for a fleeting moment, it's as if time itself has paused. There's an undeniable attraction, drawing you both closer until your lips meet gently.

Your lips meet unexpectedly in the dimly lit alley, a rush of emotions rushing through both Kazu and you. It's a moment neither of you had imagined, coming from a mixture of tension, frustration, and a strange sense of connection.

While your lips part, you two pull back slightly, your breaths coming in shallow gasps. Your heart races like it was in a race, and Kazu's typically confident demeanour was momentarily replaced by a look of quiet shock. What did we do just now?

Your faces were mere inches apart, eyes locked in a hesitant and bewildered gaze. You're the first to break the silence, whispering in a soft, shaking voice. "Kazu... . What just happened?" Did we kiss!?

Kazu's usual behaviour falters, and he searches your eyes for answers he can't express. "I-I don't know.", he admits lowly, a rare vulnerability in his tone. Did we really kiss?

The distant sound of the store owner's voice grows fainter as you two remain hidden in the alley. This situation gave you this special moment, and neither of you is ready to let it slip away entirely.

Your gazes remain locked, the silence lingering between you faced with heavy emotions. The world outside seems distant and irrelevant in that moment.

"I should get you home.", Kazu finally says, his voice softer than you'd ever heard it.

You nod, your thoughts spinning in your head. Kazu kissed me. I kissed Kazu!? Why did this happen!? What about Mikey!? While you two begin to walk back towards your home, your way is accompanied by a remaining awkwardness. What just happened between you two feels like a scene from a movie, something neither of you know quite how to address.

Arriving in front of the Sano household, you turn to Kazu, your gazes holding a mix of emotions. "T-thank you for today, and... .", you glance away flustered. "...uh, for the ch-chocolate bar.", you mumble shyly before meeting his gaze again.

He manages a small, unsure smile, his eyes avoiding yours as he glances around hesitantly. "Don't mention it. Just don't tell anyone about the..., um, you know." ...kiss.

"Chocolate bar?", you ask, a teasing smile forming on your lips as you glance up at him playfully.

A hesitant, awkward chuckle escapes both of you, and then, on an impulse, Kazu reaches out and brushes a strand of hair from your face, his touch gentle and fleeting. You blush at his brief touch and look down flustered.

As he turns to leave, you watch him disappear into the slowly ascending evening. Your heart still races, your mind throbbing with questions. How would this unexpected connection with Kazu affect your complicated feelings for Mikey?

But for now, all you had to do was to go back into the house to apologise for your earlier outburst. What seems to be a bigger problem now than ever, because your head is still filled with Kazutora and the kiss.

You let out a deep sigh and move through the gate that brings you into the Sano residence. You glance around nervously, relieved that you don't spot Mikey or Draken outside. I don't want to face anyone right now... . You think as you make your way into the house as silent as possible.
