Chapter 53: Dreading thoughts

Date: 17. August 2005, Wednesday

The morning starts with nothing unusual. Well, except you waking up beside Mikey on his couch after Draken walked in to wake him up as usual.

A few minutes prior... .

Draken strolls into Mikey's room to wake him up as usual, still unbeknownst to you being here as well. His eyes widen upon seeing you two sleeping together in each other's arms on Mikey's couch while the Tv is flickering by the end of the room.

He sighs slightly annoyed, holding his head tiredly before a smile falls into his features. "Oi, wake up you two idiots.", he says as he glances down at you two with crossed arms.

Mikey stirs as he slowly wakes up. He opens one eye and glances at Draken who looks at him with a wide smirk.

Mikey rubs his eyes confused when you suddenly tighten your hold on him while muttering a drowsy. "Noo... . Let me sleep... ." You snuggle your head into Mikey's chest and fall back to sleep immediately.

Mikey tenses up after noticing you in his arms. He glances at Draken just to see him still smirking widely at him. Well fuck. Is all Mikey can think in this awkward and embarrassing situation.

"Care to wake YOUR girlfriend up?", Draken teases Mikey, who just rolls his eyes at his friends comment. A faint blush yet visible on his face.

Mikey, still overwhelmed with the situation just scoffs, being at a loss for words right now. Meanwhile you just snuggle up to him more, still fast asleep.

Draken snickers amused before he strides out of the room. "I'll give you a few minutes alone." Mikey just grumbles something after him before he gives his full attention to you.

You're fast asleep in his arms, your head leaning onto his chest while some loose strands from your (h/c) hair fall over your face. Mikey removes them carefully, taking in your features afterwards. Your face is calm, and a faint smile is seen on your lips. But Mikey's face falls into a frown after remembering your breakdown last night. Yesterday was quite heavy. But to see her so calm after all that is nice... .

"Wake up. Oi, wake up Yurei-chin... .", Mikey whispers near your ear. You stir and try to bury your head into his chest.

"Noo... .", you mumble drowsy. Mikey chuckles quietly at your childishness and calls out to you again. After the third time you slowly open your eyes to take a glimpse at your surroundings. Your eyes meet with Mikey's chest, and you frown in confusion. Huh? You back away slightly and fell strong arms around your body. Confused and slightly irritated you lift your head slightly and meet with Mikey's eyes.

"Good morning.", he chirps as your eyes widen. Realisation sets in and you feel yourself heating up. Mikey noticing your blush chuckles amused and brings you back to his chest, swaying your both back and forth happily.

"M-Mikey stop! Ugh... .", you whimper into the embrace and Mikey stops. He let out an amused chuckle and slowly opens the hug. After releasing a sigh, you glance up at his face and see a bright smiling idiot with too much energy for your low battery.

"Uhm... . Why Am I here again?", you ask after you took in your environment. The tv is still flickering while the upcoming sun shines through the small window to your left.

"Looks like we fell asleep while watching the film last night.", Mikey explains as he stands up to stop the video on the tv. You nod in acknowledgment while watching him. Then he snickers while glancing at you. "Even after you said you won't be able to sleep for the rest of the night."

You pout at his remark before yawning widely. "I'm so tired... . How much sleep did we even get?"

Mikey shrugs. "Dunno. But we can sleep in school. Oh, and Ken-chin is here. He woke me up earlier.", Mikey mutters as he walks to the door to get Draken.
