You opened your eyes to a drip of water that fell on your snout. The bright lights of the ice kingdom flooding in to your (e/c) eyes. Your twin sister snowflake stirring in her sleep. Your two other sisters, penguin and caribou. They didn't like you since you where a hybrid like snowflake, they liked her a bit more since she looked less Sea-Wing-ish you on the other hand looked more of a Sea-Wing, penguin and caribou had only Ice-Wing blood. You thought they where kind of lucky since they didn't get picked on like you did, snowflake didn't get picked on since she looked almost like a pure Ice-Wing. You lifted your wings as you got up and made sure not to wake anyone, You, a dragonet wanting to be a royal guard for the queen. So every morning you would wake up at the crack of dawn to practice battle formations to get the attention of Queen Glacier. As you where practicing combat with a spear some dragonets you just so happen to know spotted you an flew over to you. "Why if it isn't (Y/N). Still trying to be a guard." the first dragonet Polar bear said, "Don't you have anything better to do?" you said in a low voice, "Yea we did but we couldn't help but notice a freak like you." the other dragonet Owl said, that made you feel a pain in your heart as is sharp if Ice-Wing talons clawed at it. "Haha never heard that one before," you laughed but there was no humor when you laughed, there really was no humor in any of your laughs anymore. "Um I'm kind of busy right now." you said quietly, 'why are you such a cowered (Y/N)?'. "Yea lets go Owl, lets leave the freak to her dreams". You watched as they flew away tears rolling down your face, you shot up into the sky. You flew higher and higher until it hurt to breath. Then, you let yourself fall not trying to keep yourself in the air. You loved how the wind hit your face, you loved how cold it felt, you loved how it made you feel. You crashed straight into the sea, instantly your body felt numb, unlike snowflake you couldn't breath under water, but you learned how to hold your breath for up to 30 minutes. You opened your eyes, the cold water stinging your eyeballs, but right now that didn't matter, right now nothing mattered. You looked at the fish, then with your webbed talons pushed yourself forward, swimming came naturally to you, you where half Sea-Wing after all. The sea current lightly pushing you to the left, you had always wanted to see the Sea-Wing palace or even meet Queen Coral, you had read all her scrolls. Your favorite one was "The missing Princess". Maybe one day you could meet your favorite author but until then it is only in your dreams. Your lungs started to burn, screaming for air. Had it been that long already? You swam up to the surface of the water and over to the shore, the cold wind hitting your wet scales. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath, you held it in for a while then finally let go of it.
