Notes: You are an Ice-Seawing hybrid and you are an animus.

AND I DO NOT OWN WINGS OF FIRE

(Y/n) pov

Possibility had been unlike any town I had ever seen in the Ice Kingdom. Even on the edge of  the town I could still spot the colorful scales of different tribes mixed together, it was almost an exciting feeling.

"The town is called possibility?" Moon asked when we had finally landed on the soft grass floor.

"It started as a Sandwing village on one side, and a Skywing town on the other. When they eventually merged about seven years ago neither wanted to take the others original name," Qibli explained while setting Kinkajou and the log gently on the floor, "they threw around names like hope and peace and union, but they finally put it to a vote and chose possibility."

"I like that," Moon said, "the possibility of hope and peace, but no guarantee. They still have to work for it."

"Having endless possibilities as well," I added, "the possibility to be yourself, far from tribe expectations."

"Ahh, reaching deep for wisdom from the soul and mind, (Y/n)." Qibli grinned while playfully bumping his shoulder at me.

'Could this be where I belong?' I silently thought to myself.

"You know someone here?" Winter asked while facing Qibli.

"A lot of someones. I just have to find one who can help us, so be back soon."

Qibli flew up and started heading into the town, leaving us by the flowing river. Winter had joined his brother next to the river leaving me and Moon alone with Kinkajou. I looked at the smaller dragon in front of me, her usually bright scales were so pale they could easily be mistaken to be an Icewings, all because of that Nightwing, but maybe the real cause was more powerful than that.

"It's scary how animus magic caused almost all of this," I muttered to Moon while looking at Kinkajou, "I wouldn't doubt that Nightwing is working with Scarlet."

"Maybe he was the one who enchanted Hailstorm's necklace," she suggested, by the great ice dragon was she right.

"Could be," I said, taking a long pause. "Do you ever wish you had been born powerless?  I mean, I do. I remember my mother telling me stories of a war starting all because the Icewings were mad they would lose their power because their prince had been kidnapped by a Nightwing only for them to have a dragonet who held all the power in his claws."

"Darkstalker?" She asked hesitantly.

"You know him?" I asked her, my brow raising in curiosity, maybe her mother had told her those stories as well.

"Uh- yeah. I've heard about him from the other Nightwings."

I nodded my head in understanding before continuing. "I guess my point with that is that animus magic could be a curse and blessing depending on the dragon who inherits it."

"Its a good thing you're not evil," Moon said with a tone that was playful and a hope to turn things less grim than they felt.

"Don't count on it Moonwatcher," I told her with a grin.

Just in that moment Qibli landed with a small paper in his talons.

"Got it, directions to a doctor," he grabbed a hold on one side of Kinkajou's makeshift stretcher while Winter grabbed the opposite side.

Once we were in the air again following Qibli's directions we got a better view of the diversity of the town. Every building had a unique shape to it, varying to dome like structures to some that seemed to have wings spreading out, and the most interesting part was how all the tribes, even enemies that fought against each other in the war, co-existed so peacefully.
