(Y/n) pov

You woke up to the sound of Sunny's voice talking to someone, "Hey Ostrich I need you to go to an assembly today it won't last to long," you opened your eyes seeing Sunny at the desk talking Ostrich, 'Did she stay here all night?' You wondered.

"Hey! Good morning (Y/n), how are you feeling?" Sunny said cheerfully.

"Morning," you said clearing your throat, "I'm a bit sore but the burns don't hurt to much."

You no longer felt warm scales on you but you felt the heat radiating not to far from you, you looked over to see Ostrich sitting not to far from the nest where you slept you guessed she had move away from you when she heard Sunny. "Morning," you said to Ostrich who reto the greeting with a smile.

"We're having an assembly today, but you can't come so I'll tell you about it when I get back," Sunny told you before adding, "come on Ostrich."

Ostrich stood up from next to you, she brushed her wing to yours, "I'll be back later," she told you with a warm smile, her black and amber eyes glittering with the light from the window, and with that she was gone and you where left alone in the cave with Tamarin who was still asleep.

You let out a loud sigh and flopped your head down on the ground, but you quickly lifted it back up when you saw Winter enter the cave, "Great ice dragon I didn't notice you got hurt this bad," Winter said eyeing all the bandages on you. "Yeah, although it's not as bad as Tamarin," you said looking at the sleeping RainWing, "We're going to get out of here," Winter said nonchalantly.

"Wait what what do you mean?" You asked him, "We're going to leave the school, start getting your things ready I'll be back for you in a bit," he told you and began to walk away, "What why? Where are we going?" You asked him but all he did was turn back and say, "I'll tell you on the way," then he exited the cave.

You where left in shock, 'Where are we going to do? I don't want to leave, I just started to like it here.' But even though you didn't want to leave you trusted Winter and you didn't want the prince to go out on his own, you pulled yourself up, your talons feeling weak and shaky underneath you.

'What do I need? Oh bandages so I can change the old ones, I need to get my pouch. Wait what will I tell Ostrich?'

What could you tell her? "Hey I'm going to leave for who knows how long with a grumpy prince, and don't worry about me I have bandages,", three moons no you couldn't do that so instead you opted on writing her a letter. You grabbed the bandages from a rack behind the desk where Clay and Sunny where and began to limp along the cave tunnel to your sleeping cave, the pain in your leg felt numbed but the more you walked the more the pain crept through. By the time you reached the cave your leg felt as if your skin was getting ripped off due to the moments, you looked through the rack with scrolls and found an empty one, you got some ink and began to write.

"To Ostrich:

I have left with my friend Winter to help him with something, I know leaving isn't what should be doing while being injured but I can't let him out in the world especially since he has no experience in how to treat other dragons."

You realized leaving would mean you would not seeing her for who knows how long, the thought of enchanting something crossed your mind a couple of times, you let out a huff of frustration, you would like to leave her something so you both can communicate but what?
