Amelia nibbled on her lip trying not to mess with her engagement ring, she nodded her head along with what Emily was saying even though she wasn't really listening; no one had noticed the addition of the jewellery.
Amelia knew that everyone was tense about the impending confrontation now only weeks away, it was fast approaching thanksgiving and it meant that things were slowly starting to heat up.
"What do you think?" Emily asked looking at Amelia, she had been explaining her plan for the big thanksgiving dinner that she had planned; she wanted to host one since the pack had been so stressed lately.
Amelia blinked surprised peeking over at Emily, she looked at her sheepishly as she stopped messing with her engagement ring; she glanced around and cursed since no one would be able to tell her what the older woman had said to help her.
"Sorry," Amelia murmured with a smile knowing that Emily wouldn't be mad at her even if she was twenty-three weeks pregnant; the Makah had been good at controlling her emotions as of late.
Emily rolled her eyes knowing that the witch would have a lot on her mind, she knew that this wasn't an easy time for anyone and that was why she wanted to host this dinner.
"This is the menu for the thanksgiving dinner," Emily repeated smiling at Amelia, she knew as Native American's that they didn't usually celebrate the holiday but she wanted to do something nice to take people's mind off the fact that there was trouble coming.
Amelia took a deep breath before moving to look at the menu that Emily had put together, she was looking forward to something taking her mind off the impending battle that was creeping up on them

Paul sighed looking at Billy, he should have known the moment that the elder had called him to his home that it wasn't going to be anything good; he'd known Billy for years and he had looked out for him when his dad didn't.
"What did he want?" Paul asked looking over at Lizzie who was pottering around the house, she flashed him a small smile as she went; he knew that she had no idea about the wolves yet and Jacob had no plans to tell her right now.
Paul turned his attention to Billy, who looked at him as if knowing what he was thinking; everyone knew how badly Paul got along with his father especially after he entered his teens.
"He wants to come home for Christmas, said he wants to meet your girlfriend," Billy explained leaving out the horrible words that Robert Lahote had said about Amelia, Paul wouldn't take hearing them well.
Paul hadn't seen his father properly in years and now Robert wanted to come home to see his son because he heard from Old Quil that Paul was dating a pale face; that fact alone was worrying for Robert.
Paul ran a stressed hand through his hair, his father wasn't going to be happy that he was engaged to Amelia; however he was happy and that was all that mattered to him.
Billy watched Paul and offered him a reassuring smile, he had known that Paul had been planning to ask the brunette to marry him; Paul had even asked Billy for advice on how to do it.
"I'm home," Rachel called making Billy look at Paul apologetically, he knew that Paul wouldn't want to be dealing with his daughter right now; he had attempted to warn Rachel off but she refused to listen to him.
"Paul, I didn't realise that you were here," Rachel greeted walking into the living room, a smile broke out on her face at the sight of him; she didn't know why he was still with Amelia, she had hoped he would have grown bored by now.
Lizzie rolled her eyes as Jacob's older sister as she passed, she wasn't even in on the tribal secret but even she could see that Rachel was infatuated with Paul; it was starting to get annoyed since she wasn't letting up.
"I came to tell your dad about my engagement," Paul revealed pointedly knowing that this would certainly make Rachel back off, he knew that they had decided that they wouldn't tell anyone yet but he wanted to make Rachel see that he wasn't going to be breaking up with Amelia.
The smile fell off Rachel's face in shock of his words, she stared at him speechless making the red head chuckle before Rachel put a fake smile on her face; she had been hoping this was some sort of fling.
"That's great Paul, I'm so happy for you," Rachel murmured making Billy raise an eyebrow at his daughter, she had spent the entire day yesterday explaining to him why she didn't think Paul and Amelia would last.
Paul nodded to her in thanks before he looked at Billy, he smiled at him before he pushed himself to his feet; he knew that he was going to have to tell Amelia that his father was coming to visit.
"I better be getting home, thanks Billy for letting me know," Paul said nodding at him before he walked out of the house, he knew that his father's visit was going to be interesting.
As soon as Paul was gone, Billy and Lizzie looked at Rachel who huffed before she stormed off to her bedroom and slammed the door behind her.

Aiden gritted his teeth dodging a fireball, he was surprised that a demon had the guts to attack the house right now; it had been sort of quiet on that front recently and he had to admit that he hadn't been expecting it.
Aiden deflected a fireball back at the demon as Leah threw a potion at the demon, she glared knowing that they didn't need this right now since they did have the confrontation with the Volturi was coming up.
The demon hiss in pain as he suddenly found himself being impaled on a panel that had been broken; he glared at Aiden as the witch walked towards him knowing that he was going to give the witch a warning, he wouldn't forget.
"Who sent you?" Aiden demanded knowing that the demon would have only come to the house on orders from someone higher in the underworld; he just hoped it wasn't another power vacuum happening since they didn't need random demons attacking them now.
Leah glared at the demon, she knew that they needed to know who had ordered the attack; especially when the Volturi confrontation was taking up a lot of thoughts.
"My master," the demon wheezed as Aiden stood before him, he knew that the witch had no idea what was coming and what his master had planned for them.
The Charmed ones had a destiny that was coming and it was going to destroy the world that they knew, it was going to bring an end to the Power of Three.
"And who is your master?" Leah asked looking at the demon, she knew that whoever was behind this had some nerve to attack the house like this.
The demon smirked as he looked at the she wolf, he knew that she would suffer the most for what was to come.
"He is returning from the darkness," the demon hissed knowing that the witch would know what he meant, he cackled before Aiden threw the last potion causing him to explode.
"Aiden, what does that mean?" Leah asked frightened at the look on her boyfriend's face, she knew that what the demon had said it for a reason and it was pointed at Aiden.
