"Happy birthday," Amelia greeted hugging her brother and pressing a kiss to his cheek, she was wearing a navy pastel floral deep plunge dress paired with yellow heeled sandals.

It had only been a day since the Volturi had left and they were all now celebrating Aiden's twentieth birthday and the New Year.

Amelia stepped back as Paul rested a hand on her lower back, he hadn't allowed her to be more than a few feet from him since they had returned home.

Leah smiled standing beside her fiancé, she was wearing a red bodycon dress paired with black heeled sandals; she couldn't help but feel lucky that they had all come out of this alive.

"So how does it feel getting older?" Alicia teased approaching her siblings, she was wearing a navy wrap front skater dress paired with black peep toe shoe boots; the brunette grinned as she hugged her older brother knowing that this year was going to change a lot for them.

Aiden was going to be getting married to Leah, Amelia was expecting a baby with Paul and Alicia was going to be the first one in the family to make it to their senior year; she knew that she was going to do her best to graduate.

"I'm not that old," Aiden insisted with a roll of his blue eyes, he knew that there was nothing that he would change about his life; he wrapped his arm around Leah knowing he was lucky to have her.

Leah smiled leaning into him, she didn't have to look to know that Sam was watching her from across the room where he was sat down with Emily.

The couple were meant to be getting married at the end of the month and everyone was finally settling down, it was clear that the confrontation hadn't dampened anyone's spirits.

Alicia smiled feeling Embry wrap his arms around her, her brown eyes watching her brother knowing that they were okay for now; there was nothing that they could do when the future happened but it was going to be okay.

"What are you thinking about?" Embry asked kissing her cheek, they weren't in a rush and he was glad that Alicia understood why they were taking things slow.

Paul might have been ready to ask Amelia to marry him, but they were going to have a long engagement especially since they now had a baby on the way.

"The future," Alicia said turning to look at Embry, she was glad that she had him and she knew that there was nothing that was going to come between them; she wanted a future where she didn't have to worry about what would happen.

Embry looked at her concerned, they should be celebrating right now instead of thinking of what could happen in the future.

"Ali," Embry murmured when Alicia turned to look at him, he wanted today to be about celebrating and they could think about everything else later on; they had already been one force and they could do it again.

"Not like that, I was thinking about us," Alicia teased with a smile, she knew what he was thinking and that was on her mind; she couldn't forget about the big confrontation that was coming up, it was her destiny as well as her siblings.

Embry tilted his head watching at his girlfriend wondering what she had been thinking about, he knew that everyone went at their own pace and neither of them were in a rush; they were happy to take their time and focus on school.

"I think we are going to be okay," Alicia said with a smile on her face, she didn't care what the future held; they would be able to defeat it.

Aro frowned sitting in his private study, he couldn't believe that they had lost the confrontation with the Cullens.

Everything had been planned out and everyone had been prepared to take the rival coven down, only to find that they had amassed an army of their own.

Aro didn't understand how the Cullens had managed to collect so many for their cause but he knew that next time they would be prepared.

"Are you coming to bed my love?" Sulpicia asked leaning against the doorway to her husband's study, her red eyes watched him as she wondered if he would ever forget how he had been bested by Carlisle and his coven.

Aro sat silently ignoring his wife, his anger bubbling as he wondered how he would get his revenge on the coven; they had members and connections that he wanted, that he craved.

Aro could just imagine how powerful he would be with certain members of that coven, he didn't just want Bella and Alice however; there were others that had attracted his attention.

Sulpicia sighed at her husband's lack of response before she turned around and walked away to leave him in his thoughts; she had never seen him like this before.

"What a prize," Aro murmured to himself sitting back in his chair, his eyes unseeing as he continued to think about what could be.

However his inner thoughts were disturbed as the candles flickered making him frown as he looked around, there was no breeze to make them do such a thing.

Shaking his head as he got to his feet, Aro sighed knowing that he had other things to attend to; he doubted Sulpicia would be forgiving for him ignoring her.

As he turned to leave, Aro's red eyes caught the sight of a shadowy figure blocking the way; he looked at him confused as the figure seemed to move towards him.

"What are you?" Aro asked staring at the shadowy figure that hovered before him, he tilted his head having never seen anything like this before in his existence.

The figure stopped and seemed to stare at Aro, who frowned at the lack of response from the mysterious figure.

"I am you," the figure hissed before it lunged straight at Aro and begun to consume him; he had been waiting for the right body to come along before he could get his revenge.

Aro's body dropped to the floor and convulsed as the figure took over Aro's body, it had been waiting for the right moment to take the Volturi's body and he knew that this was what he had been waiting for.

Aro's eyes stared lifelessly up at the ceiling as the body stopped convulsing, it stilled on the floor as the red eyes of the vampire slowly started to dilute to the black eyes of the Source of All Evil.

Pushing himself up off the floor, the Source admired its new arms before walking over to the mirror that sat on the far side of the room; it had been so long since he'd had a cordial form after it had been destroyed.

"So it begins," the Source purred in Aro's voice as his black eyes stared at his new form in the mirror admiring it; the Charmed ones wouldn't know what was going to hit them.
