"He's so cute," Kim Connweller cooed looking down at Aaron, this was a special moment for Amelia and Paul; she wasn't even surprised that they seemed so relaxed about becoming parents.

Jared Cameron nodded his head patting his friend on the shoulder, he had never seen Paul like this before and it was only the beginning of how his best friend would change.

"He looks like his daddy," Kim mused grinned turning to look at Paul,  there had to be some of Amelia in him and she hoped it would show through when the baby was older.

Amelia smiled sitting back on her hospital bed, she was due to be signed out soon since the doctor had cleared her and Sue said Aaron was well enough to come home as well.

"So when do you get out?" Jared questioned knowing that Paul was off from pack duties for a week since he wanted to help Amelia adjust to having Aaron home; Sam had done the same when Emily had Luca back in March, since Jacob knew how important it was for the new fathers.

Paul stretched shifting in his chair, he hadn't had the best night's sleep and he was a little annoyed at how uncomfortable the hospital chairs were.

"Late this afternoon," Amelia replied looking at her fiancé, she wasn't the only one looking forward to sleeping in their own bed again; the brunette offered Paul a small smile knowing he hadn't gotten much sleep the night before.

Kim nodded her head turning attention back to the baby, Paul still wasn't completely comfortable around the Cullens; it was the idea of vampires in general being around his imprint and newborn son that set the wolf on edge even more than anything else.

Paul smiled holding Aaron in his arms, he wouldn't change anything for the world and he already adored his son; he wasn't even worried about the genes that he could be carrying from both sides of the family.

"I'm ready," Amelia announced stepping out of the hospital bathroom dressed in a white top with front pockets and high waist skinny ankle grazer jeans; she smiled watching Paul for a moment knowing that they now had something so small and innocent to protect.

Paul nodded his head continuing to look down at his son, he knew that he wouldn't ever be able to forget that this was his son; there was nothing that could steal away these memories.

Amelia moved to put on her brown leather calf high boots, they were just waiting on Sue with her discharge papers so that she could leave; the brunette couldn't wait to get her son home for the first time and relax before all the visitors arrives.

"All set?" Sue asked plopping her head into the hospital room and smiled at the couple, she looked at Paul knowing that he would be a better father than his own had been.

Robert barely saw his son after he had moved back to La Push and even now things were tense between the two; he wasn't happy with how things had worked out for Paul.

"Now I don't need to remind you that you can't have sex for six weeks," Sue repeated walking into the room and handed the discharge papers to Amelia, she knew that this was going to be interested.

Paul frowned at Sue's instructions, he had known it would be a while but he hadn't thought they wouldn't be able to be intimate for six weeks.

Sue chuckled knowing that Amelia and Paul were probably going to be too exhausted to do anything anyway, she knew Paul was focusing on school and he still had pack duties to worry about right now.

Paul shouldered the camouflaged base camp duffle bag that the couple had used as Amelia's maternity bag; he locked the Audi A4 when he saw that his fiancée had gotten their son out of the car.

Paul couldn't help but smile as he watched Amelia with their son, he knew that there was nothing more beautiful about the sight of them; he knew it was something that he would never get used to.

"What?" Amelia asked catching the look that Paul was giving her, she held Aaron close to her body knowing that even though it was August, it was still pretty chilly.

Amelia knew it would be a while until she was ready to let her go, she was thrilled at being a mother and she knew she wasn't going to allow anything to take this away from her.

"Nothing, you just look so happy," Paul said walking over to her, they were going to be fine; the couple had spent months preparing for their son's birth and things were going to take time to settle.

Amelia laughed softly and nodded her head, she had nothing to compare to what she was feeling; the brunette was still adjusting to the feeling that she got whenever she looked at her son.

"Let's get him inside," Paul murmured knowing that he didn't want Aaron getting ill, he was thrilled that they had been able to bring him home so soon; he had worried that Amelia would be in hospital for a few days and it would limit his time at home with his fiancée and son.

Amelia nodded her head as she pressed a kiss to the top of Aaron's head and allowed Paul to lead them into their home, the brunette was secretly relieved to have their son home; she didn't want a demon thinking it was okay to launch an attack at the hospital or in public in an attempt to get at Aaron.

"Welcome home," Amelia whispered smiling down at Aaron, she bounced him lightly in her arms knowing that he was home and safe.

Paul set down the duffle bag and walked over to his fiancée, he doubted that they would be home alone long before other members of the pack started to show up; everyone wanted to see the new pack member.

Amelia handed Aaron over to Paul knowing that she couldn't keep him to herself, she smiled as she watched her fiancé as he held their son; everything seemed so perfect right now.

"This is your home buddy," Paul whispered proceeding to walk into the living room, this was going to be the home where they raised all of their children; they had a talked about having three or four and they knew that everything would work out for them.

Amelia chuckled watching Paul with Aaron, it was strange to see him with something so small settled in his arms; the brunette knew that her fiancé had been a hot head and a womaniser before she had meet him.

Paul smiled looking at Aaron, who yawned signalling that it was time for him to take a nap; the wolf took a deep breath as he looked at his fiancée.

"Looks like someone needs to go to bed," Paul mused as Amelia moved forward knowing that he was right, she knew that as soon as people started coming he wasn't going to get much rested.

Paul carefully handed over Aaron watching Amelia, this was a new beginning for them; he just hoped that nothing would take away from the new life that they had.

"I'll go and put him down," Amelia said softly offering Paul a small smile, she couldn't believe how much had changed for them in eight months.

The confrontation with the Volturi had left a permanent mark in the supernatural history books, it was something that no one would be forgetting anytime soon.

Paul watched Amelia go knowing that her destiny wasn't going to take her from him or their son and he would make sure of that.
