Part Two - Chapter Twenty-Eight: Grief and War

"Stop them," Edward shouted out leaping forward and tried to grab onto Tanya's arm as she lurched forward towards, the now smirking Caius with a maddened cry of rage and grief as she finally broke free of her shock.

Tanya didn't get the chance to get far since she wasn't able to shake Edward off before Carlisle had his arms locked around her waist; the two quickly worked to try and calm her down while others attempted to stop Kate who was a little more difficult.

Rosalie was the first to attempt to stop her blonde haired cousin, she was quick to get Kate into a headlock only to find herself being shocked so violently by Kate that she crumpled to the floor.

Emmett caught hold of Kate's arm and threw her down before he staggered back, his knees giving out as he also received a shock from Kate who was desperate to get to Caius.

Kate rolled to her feet and it looked like no one was going to stop her until Garrett threw himself at her; the collision knocked the two to the ground, Garrett was quick to wrap his hands around her body and locking his hands around his wrists.

Everyone flinched as they watched Garrett's body spasm as she shocked him, his red eyes rolled back into his head but his hold didn't break on Kate.

"It's too late to help her. Don't give Caius what he wants," Aiden whispered trying to help Garrett restrain Kate as she continued to shock and struggle against him; he looked over at Amelia for help.

Amelia nodded her head before she turned her attention to Zafrina, who nodded before her eyes paled as Kate and Tanya's eyes went blank; they both stopped struggling as people moved to calm them and comfort them in their loss.

Amelia's eyes turned back to the Volturi, she watched them knowing that this had to end this couldn't go on much longer without more lives being lost; she could see that Aro was trying to think of another way to destroy the coven and she knew that he wouldn't stop until he had what he wanted.

"You okay?" Alicia asked stepping to her sister's side, she knew what Amelia was thinking and it worried her what her sister would consider doing to make any of it work.

Amelia nodded her head as she glanced over at Paul who was watching her while Tanya and Kate finally calmed down, she nodded at him as she moved to stand next to Aiden.

"In an age where technology is growing, is it truly safe for this child to exist when we as magical creatures could be exposed," Aro murmured knowing that even the witches had to agree with that fact, there was no denying that a child like Renesmee posed a threat on their way of life.

Aiden rolled his eyes, he knew what Aro was trying to do and it was annoying that he thought that they would agree with him on this fact; there was already someone who took care of magical exposure and it wasn't the Volturi nor was it them.

"Then there is much for us to discuss and decide," Caius said moving to start talking however Amelia smiled at her brother who chuckled amused before he nodded his head as she stepped forward.

Amelia grinned slowly stepping forward, she knew that this would be something that Aro would be interested in.

"Before you decided Aro... there is someone with a little more evidence," Amelia called making the vampires around her look confused, she grinned at them before she looked across the field where Alice and Jasper appeared.

Whispers filled the air as the two vampires gravely walked towards Aro and his guard, they glanced at Amelia and nodded at her; their plan had worked better than expected and they were glad that she had managed to arrange everything on her end.

"Look my dears it is Alice," Aro greeted thrilled that the small vampiress had appeared, he watched as she approached him making a couple of his guard move to intercept her; she spotted along with Jasper as the guard blocked her way.

"I have evidence that is important to this case," Alice said temptingly offering her hand to Aro, he quickly signalled for her to be released so that he could see what she was offering to him; she glanced at Jasper who was held back so that he couldn't help her.

Alice carefully allowed Aro to take her hand; she stared up into his red eyes before her face filled with disgust pulling back away from him.

"It doesn't matter what I show you, you're still going to go through with this," Alice spat pulling away from the Volturi leader, he stared at her blankly quickly turning around and looked at Bella; her golden eyes apologetic as she said the words that Bella hoped that she didn't have to hear.

"Look after her Seth," Bella whispered making sure that Renesmee was on his back before he nodded his head before he turned and fled while Alice was taken hostage by the guard; Amelia looked at her siblings realising what was about to happen.

Carlisle watched horrified as the Volturi tried to drag Alice away, he wasn't going to allow Aro to steal away his daughter like this; rushing forward to save her, he didn't notice the smile on Aro's face as he approached the guard.

Before anyone could comprehend what was going on, Aro snapped Carlisle's head off his body; he grinned smugly as he looked at the Cullens before he held up the head of their beloved father and husband while his guard destroyed his body.

The group stared shocked about what had happened before they all charged forward knowing that this was going to be their only chance to get an advantage on the Volturi before they were overpowered.

Amelia ducked out of the way as a member of the guard tried to grab her, she smirked as she blasted him before Aiden ripped the vampires head off; he nodded at his sister knowing that they had to moved quickly since they wouldn't have a lot of time.

Jacob snarled looking at Jane who was using her ability of pain illusion to allow several members of the Volturi to gain the advantage in their fights; the russet wolf charged forward knowing that he had to attack before Jane was able to stop him.

However before he could get any closer, Jacob suddenly felt a sharp pain in his head; his body gave away as he writhed in pain while Jane smirked and walked towards his russet form, he whimpered as she stood over him before Felix wrapped his arms around his neck and broke it.

Sam stopped what he was doing and looked over at Jacob's fallen form, he whined softly before he tore apart another vampire knowing that he was now the leader of the pack again; he glanced at Jacob knowing that he would make him proud.

Alice struggled against the hold that the Volturi guard had on her, she looked at her family fighting and knew that she had to get out and help them while she could.

Her golden eyes looked over at her husband concerned wondering how this would all end, she watched in horror as Demetri tore Jasper apart without a second thought.

Her scream of agony ripped through the field before she pulled herself from the arms of the guards and charged forward furiously; she knew that there were going to be losses but she wasn't about to allow her family to lose even more members.

Alice spotted Emmett taking on Alec with the help of Bella who was shielding him from both of them from his powers as well as Jane's; this was where it was all going to end.
