NEXT DAY

Y/N was right; the media will have a feast with the fact that she attended Jessica's birthday party. They were ex-wives and both actresses, so it was inevitable that they would make a big fucking deal out of it. Still, it annoyed Y/N.

Throughout her day, Y/N kept hearing it from people around her. They thought they were being discreet, but Y/N heard them. And her manager, Sophia, asked her so many questions, well, she didn't know Y/N attended Jessica's birthday party until she saw it on Twitter last night.

"You can't just go to her party without even telling me, Y/N." Sophia said, shaking her head.

"Why not? And why do I need to tell you something like that? It's my personal life." Y/N sighed. She just finished filming her scenes for today, and she's exhausted since it's an action movie and all her stunts were done by her.

She's been working on this movie for a year now. They actually finished filming, and she thought all she had to do was wait until promotion and the premiere, but they had to change some of the scenes, and that's why she's back at filming. But she's excited for this one; she loves doing her stunts, and it's more exciting because her co-star is the same. But as much as she loves it, it's also so hard and tiring. And having Sophia lecture her is not helping at all.

"I understand that, Y/N." Sophia said and sighed. She's been Y/N's manager slash personal assistant for six years now and she knows Y/N means well, but having that much eyes watching, they need to be careful. "But you know who you are, you're Y/N L/N. World's highest paid actress and Hollywood's face. All eyes are watching your every move and going to your ex-wife's house for her birthday party is really not a good idea right now, especially when you're working for an upcoming movie. You know that."

"I really don't see the problem with it." Y/N said.

"You've only been divorced for a year; it's still fresh. The media is already reporting that there are still some feelings out there, and you going to her house—the same house you used to live in—will, of course, be a big deal. You and Jessica are both very known individuals; that should be enough for you to understand the situation. You said you don't want any drama, why didn't you think about that first?" Sophia shook her head and said, "Besides, it's not only your name and Jessica's name. This is also dragging Scarlett Johansson."

"What?" Y/N looked at Sophia with a frown. "What do you mean?" She asked, she didn't bother to watch the news today.

"You're already aware that your friendship with Scarlett is still very much the talk of the media," Sophia said, "And they are making rumors about how Scarlett was probably mad that you attended your ex-wife's birthday party at the house you used to live at."

"Why are they saying that?" Y/N asked, shaking her head. She's more annoyed now.

"Because they are convinced that you two are more than friends." Sophia said. "You get why I'm stressed about this?"

"I get it now." Y/N sighed. "I'm sorry for not telling you about it." She said.

"I could've done something about it to avoid that much rumors about you, Jessica, and Scarlett. Next time, tell me first, okay?" Sophia raised an eyebrow.

Y/N just nodded her head.

"Good," Sophia said. "Sorry for the lecture."

"I needed it." Y/N said and chuckled. "Can I go home now, though? I'm tired."

"Of course, you have an early schedule tomorrow." Sophia said, smiling a little. "Come on, I'll drive you home."

Y/N nodded her head. She stood up and yawned.

— after some time of driving, Y/N finally saw her house, making her sigh in relief. Sophia still tells her to just stay in a hotel near where they're filming, but Y/N was never fond of hotels, and she would rather drive for two hours rather than spend her days in a hotel.

"I know what you're about to say," Y/N said as soon as she saw Sophia's mouth opening. "I'm exhausted, that's right. But I won't stay in a hotel room, okay?"

Sophia chuckled. "Stubborn ass."

"You love me either way." Y/N said, grabbing her bag from the backseat.

"Unfortunately." Sophia said with a laugh.

Y/N chuckled. "I'll see you later, Sophie. Thanks for driving me home. Take care, yeah?"

"Of course." Sophia smiles. "Good night."

"Good night." Y/N said while getting out of the car. She smiled at Sophia before she closed the passenger door, she turned around, walking towards her porch. She used her keys and opened her door.

She stepped inside her house and sighed, "Finally." She whispered and walked towards her kitchen to get herself some water.

"Oh, yes." She whispered after drinking some cold water.

"What the fuck!" She yelped when she felt arms around her waist. She was about to turn around and beat the shit out of whoever shocked her, but she stopped moving when she heard that giggle. She visibly relaxed.

"Scarlett." Y/N whispered, taking a deep breath so she can calm down her heart—from being surprised and because of Scarlett's arms around her waist and hugging her from behind.

"Hey, hon." Scarlett greeted, and giggled.
