The End of the Deal

FEW HOURS LATER

Y/N took a deep breath and finally looked at Scarlett. She drove them to their place to have some privacy. Throughout the drive there, the two didn't talk. They were both lost in their thoughts, thinking about their relationship, their careers, what would happen next, and all that stuff.

"You couldn't yell here instead?" Y/N finally spoke.

Scarlett chuckled and ignored Y/N's question and she took a deep breath. "Forest! I finally yelled my feelings out, but not here!!! I've yelled what I really feel about Y/N!!! And now, I am yelling here too! Forest! Please help me and deliver this message to Y/N! I love her so much and I'm done feeling scared! I love her so much and I miss her so fucking much!" She yelled, breathing heavily.

"Message delivered. Loud and clear. Very loud, I must say." Y/N said, and chuckled. "Look at me, please."

Scarlett looked at Y/N, she gulped. "I-I'm really sorry, Y/N. I'm terribly sorry for breaking your heart. If you ever decide that you'll give me a chance, I promise that I'll make it up to you for the rest of our lives. I love you, Y/N. Only you." She said.

"Did you also apologize to Colin? He also didn't deserve to be hurt." Y/N said.

Scarlett nodded her head. "I did, Y/N. I apologized to him and I explained my feelings. I said that I love you, I told him the whole truth." She said.

"Good," Y/N said, "Scarlett, if we're gonna do this, I need you to do something for me."

Scarlett nodded her head, "Anything, Y/N. Tell me, please." She said.

"Okay, so, I will need you to throw away your whole bed and buy a new one. New bed, new mattress, new bedsheets—just everything new." Y/N said, smiling a little before she laughed. "I'm laughing but I'm dead serious, Johansson."

Scarlett bit her bottom lip, smiling. "I can definitely do that." She said.

"Good." Y/N said, chuckling.

"D-Does this mean that you'll give me a chance?" Scarlett asked.

"Yeah, Scar. I'm giving you a chance. I'm giving us a chance." Y/N said, "I love you."

Scarlett released a shaky breath, "I love you too, Y/N. I love you so much. Can I hold you?" She asked.

Y/N didn't answer and just wrapped her arms around Scarlett's waist, pulling her closer. She sighed, feeling her heart slowly healing as she feels Scarlett's skin.

"I'm not wasting anymore time, Scarlett. We don't know what will happen tomorrow, and I don't wanna spend my life regretting not doing everything to fight for us." Y/N said, "So, will you be my gi—"

"Hold that thought," Scarlett said, interrupting Y/N. "We need do something first, we need to get rid of the contract and officially break the deal." Scarlett said, taking something from her pocket. It's a folded paper.

"You brought that with you?" Y/N laughed.

"Don't laugh, I was planning to tear this contract in front of the world if you didn't show up. But you did showed up and now, I will be tearing this in front of my world." Scarlett said, "In front of you."

Y/N rolled her eyes, smiling. "Don't be cheesy." She said.

Scarlett giggled, and she kissed Y/N's cheek before she stepped back a little. "As I tear this contract, it will be the end of the deal. No more rules, and no more hiding what we really feel. I love you, Y/N, and I don't want to live without you. I want you to be mine, so I'm officially ending our deal." She said and tore the paper in half.

"I love you too, Scar." Y/N said, smiling. "But let's not litter, yeah? This is our place. We protect and take care of this place. I'll take that for now, and we can definitely burn this bitch-ass contract when we get back home later." She said, taking the paper that's torn in half, then shoved it into her pockets.

Scarlett giggled and wrapped her arms around Y/N's neck, "Thank you, Y/N. For giving me a chance. I'll make it up to you every single day, I'll show you just how much I love you. You're all that I want for the rest of my life."

"I love you, Scar." Y/N whispered, pulling Scarlett closer by the waist. "I forgive you, my love. And I'm not gonna spend my life holding grudges 'cause I realized that life is too short, and I don't wanna lose you, Scar. I want to be there for you, and I want to spend my life with you."

"Me too, Y/N." Scarlett said, "Thank you."

"Will you be my girlfriend, Scarlett?" Y/N asked with a smile.

"Of course, baby, I'll be your girlfriend." Scarlett said, smiling widely. "But... can we have a deal? No more stepping into dangerous territory, it will just be us, full of honesty and love."

Y/N chuckled softly.

"So? Do we have a deal?" Scarlett asked, tracing Y/N's lips.

"Yeah," Y/N whispered, "We have a deal."

With that, the couple leaned in, sealing their new deal with a passionate kiss. Surrounded by the forest, their hearts beat faster, calling out to one another and feeling at peace. What began as just the deal that turned into something more has taught Y/N and Scarlett that they will never make the same mistakes again. They'll never let go of each other again, there will be no more stepping into dangerous territory; and their new beginning will be filled with love and honesty. And as they hold each other while pouring all their feelings into their kiss, it assures them that this time it will be different—it will be right.
