FEW HOURS LATER

"Are you gonna talk or just stare at me?" Y/N asked, not looking at Scarlett.

Scarlett blinked, shaking her head. "I'm sorry, I just really missed you." She said.

After watching the movie and talking to the press and fans for a couple minutes, they all went straight to the after party. While everyone was partying and socializing in the main area, Y/N was on the rooftop with Scarlett.

Y/N couldn't even focus on her own movie because her mind was all over the place. She knows this moment will happen, when she'll have to see Scarlett again and talk. But she did not expect it to happen so soon, she wasn't even over Scarlett fully.

"Well, I don't." Y/N lied, looking at the city lights. "And I have a party to attend to, it's my premiere night, remember? I suggest you start talking so we can move on with our lives."

Scarlett bit her bottom lip, standing close to Y/N. She raised her hand to touch Y/N's arm, but the younger actress stepped back.

"Don't you fucking dare touch me. You know what? Don't even come close to me, Scarlett. We can talk without doing those things." Y/N said while shaking her head. She knows she'll only melt if she feels Scarlett's warm hands, and if that happens, she'll be back to zero and on her knees for Scarlett. And she can't allow for that to happen again, she's choosing herself this time.

"Y-Y/N..." Scarlett's voice trembles, "I-I'm so sorry for everything—can you at least look at me?"

Y/N clenched her jaw and turned her head to look at Scarlett.

Scarlett wiped her tears, "I'm sorry, Y/N. For everything that I've done, for hurting you. And I'm sorry for walking away that day, I should've stayed with you and figured out—"

"But that didn't happen, did it? No matter what I said, you still left." Y/N said, "I needed you to stay and figure out the mess we both made, but you left me all alone, confused, and angry."

"Y-You pinky swear that you'll always be my friend, Y/N." Scarlett whispered.

Y/N scoffed, shaking her head. "And you also pinky swear that you'll always be there for me, but you left me when I needed you, you left when I confessed my feelings for you. I begged you to stay, but you still left."

"I-I'm sorry—"

"You ignored me for a week, Scarlett." Y/N said, interrupting Scarlett. "And you were about to fuck someone else? Did you even respect me as your friend? Sure, we were fuck buddies, but I'm still your friend. And I deserve to have a chance to talk to you about this shit, you couldn't even tell me to leave you alone first."

"I'm so sorry, Y/N, please, give me a chance." Scarlett cried, "P-Please."

"How long have you been sleeping with him?" Y/N asked.

"N-Never, Y/N, I swear to you. W-When you saw us that day... I-I admit, something could've happened if you hadn't... come." Scarlett said.

"Is that right? You know that I love you, but that didn't matter to you, you were willing to have sex with him, Scarlett. You betrayed me." Y/N said, her eyes held sadness. "You broke my heart the moment you let him touch you."

"I'm so sorry, please, Y/N! You have to believe me that you're the one that I want. I-I told him that I don't want to see him again because it's you that I want!" Scarlett said, sobbing.

"Then that guy and I have something in common," Y/N said while shaking her head. "We're both your victims. Poor us, huh? You played with our feelings. I just hope he's handling it better than I am, he doesn't deserve to be a player in your little game. Both of us don't deserve to be a part of it."

"Y-Y/N, please, I-I'm not playing with you or your feelings. Please, baby, just give me another chance, please." Scarlett begged.

Before Y/N can say anything, the door of the rooftop opened, and Jessica appeared.

"Y/N," Jessica spoke. "It's your dad. He needs you."

"Why? What happened?" Y/N asked, frowning.

"Did you put your phone on do not disturb?" Jessica asked, walking closer to Y/N.

"Shit," Y/N fished out her phone and unlocked it, she turned off the do not disturb and saw a lot of missed calls.

"You weren't answering. And your granny called Sophia, she said that your dad's in the hospital." Jessica said, eyebrows furrowed in concern. "He was involved in a car accident, and that's why he couldn't make it to your premiere night."

Y/N's heart sank. "W-What? Oh my god. We gotta go—I g-gotta go see him!"

"Come on, Sophia's waiting in the car." Jessica said, taking Y/N's hand in hers.

"W-Wait!" Scarlett spoke. "Let me come with you, Y/N." She said.

Y/N glared at Scarlett, "No. You've done enough, Scarlett. I don't ever wanna see you again. I can't deal with any more heartbreak. Goodbye, Scarlett." She said, she can feel her heart shattering.

Y/N look between Scarlett's green eyes, and she hates that the last time she'll ever see them again was like that. Full of sadness. But that's how it's supposed to end between them.

They made a mistake with the deal, and now they have to face the consequences of it.

"Y/N, please, don't, I-I need you. Please." Scarlett begged, crying. "D-Don't say goodbye, please." She sobbed.

"Let me go." Y/N whispered, letting her tears fall. Her heart breaking over and over again.

"N-No," Scarlett shook her head. "I-I can't. No, Y/N, please."

"You already did the moment you walked out that day." Y/N said, smiling sadly. She wiped her tears and took a deep breath. All she can feel is pain, like there's a dark shadow inside her heart, consuming her until she no longer feel alive.

"N-No," Scarlett sobbed loudly.

"Take care of yourself." Y/N whispered.

Then Y/N turned around and walked away, pulling Jessica with her.

Once the door closed and Y/N was gone, Scarlett broke down. She fell on her knees and cried, sobbing Y/N's name over and over again.
