Before I knew it, Mom dropped CJ back to her parents's house. The plane dropped us off around 10am. She found out Kelly cheated and wished to tell her off if she sees her. Truth is, I really liked Kelly so much but I didn't got to the point where I was...in love with her. She must've loved me I'm sure but if she truly did, Raelynn wouldn't had caught her kissing someone else. This is one of the reasons why I don't jump into relationships like these insane girls do. Once they jump, they fall and get hurt easily. Maybe I jumped into a relationship with Kelly without thinking. Maybe I liked her so much so I gave our relationship a try. Kelly was unhappy until I've met her. Honestly, all cheaters should get the fist they deserve but it's not like Kelly have been cheating on me for four months. I hope she'll find content with herself and whoever she dates. She just won't find it with me because I rather felt used, betrayed or practically disrespected since people watched her cheat on me! "River?" Mom called. I snapped out of my thoughts and realized we finally parked in our driveway. "Are you ok?" She asked softly. I cleared my throat but nodded. "Yes." I said. She smiled. "We're back home." She said. I fake smiled. "Yup. We are." I said. Mom rubbed my shoulder before we got our suitcases out of the trunk. We rolled them to the doorstep and rung the doorbell. It took a minute till it opened. Meadow smiled widely. "Hey! You're back!" She beamed. I chuckled. "Great to see you Mead." I said. She turned around. "Guys! Mom and River's here!" She shouted. The twins rushed downstairs and hugged me. "River! How are you? How was New York?" They asked, smiling. Mom cleared her throat. "Before we ask questions let's bring our bags." She said firmly. I nodded. I appreciated the welcome but all I wanna do is crash on my bed. They carried our suitcases inside. Our house felt warm and cozied as usual. Just how I liked it. "Will you guys take my bags to my room?" I asked. "Mine too." Mom added. Michael nodded as they started bringing them upstairs. "I'll go call your Dad." Mom said, following behind. Meadow smiled sadly. "I'm sorry." She said. Guess she found out as well. I inhaled a deep breath. "Honestly, Mead I didn't think we would go farther. Four months was a long time." I told her. She sighed. "Well, you loved her didn't you?" She asked. I nodded in disagreement. "I really liked her so much but hadn't got to the point where I was in love. It kinda feels like I jumped into a relationship without warning. If I get into another, I won't open my doors easily." I said. She scoffed, rubbing my shoulder. "River you can't be too guarded with your feelings. You'll have to let them out or else you'll burst." She advised. I rolled my eyes. "I already burst at the suite." I sassed. She almost spoke till I walked upstairs to my room. My suitcases were laid on my bed. I put my phone on the dresser and began unpacking. It took twenty-nine minutes till I finished. I wrapped my hair in a bun and sighed. Phew! I'm not wrong when I needed to crash in bed and it's only 11pm. I took off my makeup, showered and changed into this:I got under the covers and immediately drifted off to sleep.
*****Two hours later*****
Slept for two hours is what happens when you ride in a classy jet. Bet CJ slept three or two hours. I managed to wake up at 1:20ish and stretched. My phone buzzed. Damn, CJ must've got up just like me at this hour. I looked to see...Kelly calling. This is the last thing I come to after a relieving sleep. I immediately denied the call and flunked myself on the pillow. My phone buzzed again. Kelly was still calling. Ugh, just go away would you?! I facepalmed my forehead and sighed. I'm not answering after getting completely embarrassed. Thought she got the hint after I unfollowed her. A cheater is a cheater. I huffed. It still kept buzzing which was partially annoying. Hm, maybe after she explains herself I'll still call it quits. I sighed and denied the call again. Instead I texted her.
River🌊: what?🙄
Kelly🤗🖕🏼: u unfollowed me. That's what.😳🤷🏻♀️
River🌊: I did? Oh how shocking :)
Kelly🤗🖕🏼: River, let's not play games. Firstly I would've loved a surprise from u returning home, the hugs & kisses I dearly missed, the happy convos about your New York trip and all I get is a WHAT???🤨😤
River🌊: hm. It's what I wanna know too. Care to talk sometime?😒
Kelly🤗🖕🏼: idk what's up with u but fine. Let's talk today. :(
River🌊: Meet up at the pond. I'll pick u up.
Kelly🤗🖕🏼: k. Welcome back btw.🙄
River🌊: how sweet of u.🥹🙄
I rolled out of bed and got dressed. My hair was a bit frizzy so I combed it out. A soft knock popped from the door. "Come in." I said. The door revealed Raelynn. She smiled. "Hey, welcome back." She said. I inhaled a deep breath. "A little late of that." I muttered. She frowned. "I'm sorry. You deserved to know the truth. I couldn't wait till you came from New York and found out too late." She said. I nodded in understanding. "I know. Thanks for looking out sis. Really. I'm meeting up with her at the pond to talk. Wish me luck. Seriously." I said, huffing at the last part. She nodded. "You better give her what she deserve." She sassed. That made me smile proudly after a tired morning. "Let Mom know I'm there. I'll be back." I told her. She nodded, leaving. I wrapped my leather jacket around myself and grabbed my keys to leave. I started the engine before pulling from the driveway. Misery, here I come.
No expression on my face as I pulled up to Kelly's. I texted her I'm here and waited. Their house door opened, showing Kelly's appearance. Four months passed yet she looked even more hot. Her brown hair straightened, popping blue eyes, cute red tank top with dark jeans and black converse. She saw me and waved. I couldn't help but wave back. She got in the front seat next to me. We didn't even hug nor said hello. Kelly kissed my cheek softly and made herself comfortable. I started the engine and continued our ride to the pond. The silence isn't what I'm into in the car so I played my playlist. I bobbed my head to the beat as Kelly's left foot was dancing a little. The pond wasn't too far thankfully. It surely brought the memory of us swimming together. I found a half empty lot and parked. Kelly sighed. "You remember our usual spot near the pond?" She asked. I huffed. "Yeah. That huge log." I said. We got out the car and walked through magnificent area. It was still preciously beautiful. Just imagine how majestic it'll get in the summer. The log we sat on was still here. We sat quietly, listening to crickets and fluttering sounds of the water. Another moment of silence was present. Kelly inhaled a deep breath. "Ok. What's going on? Why you didn't come see me earlier? I waited nearly two hours and three since it's past twelve. But all I get is a nasty and cranky text." She said. I scoffed, raising an eyebrow. "Are you really blind? You don't know why I didn't come? You don't know what happened?" I asked. She growled. "I know you unfollowed me on Instagram and Snapchat. That's when I thought the same. What is the matter? I've been waiting to talk to you about something since you came this morning." She said. I fake smiled and nodded. "Now we're getting somewhere. Would you like to talk about NYC? My movie? Or the video Bredia sent me of you kissing your fuckboy?!" I said, growling at the last part. Kelly looked at me in shock. "What? How? A video? She was filming me?" She managed to say. I fake gasped and crossed my arms. "Oh? You didn't notice they were watching? You got any idea how I embarrassed I was? To be glad of coming home to see my girl yet I'm watching her kiss someone else while I'm a hundred miles away?!" I growled. Tears were threatening to escape her eyes. She sniffled. "Oh River...I'm so sorry. I'm really sorry. I wanted to talk to you about it once you got back. I didn't know how to tell you at first. I was more shocked and confused." She explained. I huffed. "Are you confused now?" I asked. She slowly nodded her head no. Well, it is what it is. My fault for jumping into this relationship I wasn't fully prepared for. I cleared my throat. "Doesn't excuse the fact you're dumping me for someone you barely know. Someone that's older wanting to get in your pants like a freaking creep. However I still wish you happiness Kel. We both know you won't find it with me. I will with somebody else. It's not my loss, it's yours. I'm rather used, betrayed and clearly cheated on." I said. The whole time she shedded more tears. "I'm so so sorry. I'll always love you." Kelly said hoarsely. My heart snapped since I hated seeing her cry. I nodded. "You'll always be the cherry of my milkshake." I joked. We chuckled. Without hesitation she cupped my face and kissed me passionately. I kissed back and slowly parted. She wiped her eyes and got up. "Please take me home. Mom needs me for chores." She said. I smirked. "Never hurts giving you a last ride." I teased. She giggled softly as we left the pond and got in my car. She turned on the radio and playfully danced. I couldn't help but chuckle.
After dropping off Kelly, I restarted the engine till she motioned me to roll down my window. She smiled warmly. "I wish you happiness too." She told me. I returned the gesture. "Thanks. Hurry or Mama's gonna kill you." I joked but in a serious tone. She laughed and waved before running to the doorstep. Like they say, breakups are tough but so am I. Kelly will always be my cherry.
