Later that night...River POV
"Ever read Shakespeare poems? They're so good." Kelly said. I raised an eyebrow. "If I say yes, will I get a kiss?" I said, smirking. She returned the gesture and motioned me to answer the question. We were in my bedroom studying for a English lesson. Dad was relieved it's not with a boy. I sighed. "They're alright. Romeo and Juliet's ok though I don't like when they kill theirselves to be with each other." I said. She giggled. "Me too. I love the beautiful moments a couple would share." She said. I smiled. "I love this one." I said. Kelly smiled warmly. We looked into each other's eyes. "I love you." I whispered. "Love you too." She said. We kissed passionately. She wrapped her arms around my neck. I carried her onto my lap. My hands on her waist. I rubbed her hair as she kissed my lips. This was definitely a beautiful moment. Thankfully, the door was closed. Nobody could ruin this moment. We continued making out and laid on my pillows. The door opened, revealing dad. "Hey, what is going on here?" He asked. Once we heard we quickly got off each other. He looked at us in shock. We shared the same look. Kelly immediately fixed her hair and shirt. I smiled nervously. Oh shit. I'm busted now.*****
Earlier...
"Cmon, Dad! We're just studying!" I pleaded. He fake laughed. "In one room with the door closed." He said. I'm trying to convince dad to let me invite Kelly for a study session...or study date wink wink. I nodded in disagreement. "No that's because we need quietness in case anyone makes noise." I said. "Who could make noise?" He asked. Raelynn turned on her jumbo stereo, playing Bruno Mars while doing dishes. She danced while washing a dish. We looked at her weirdly. "I see your point." He simply said. I smirked. "Cmon dad, Kelly and I will be fine." I said. He raised an eyebrow. "Kelly? The same friend who had a birthday bash?" He asked. I nodded. He breathed a breath of relief. "Good! I thought it was a boy." He said. I chuckled. "Is that a yes?" I asked. He smiled and nodded. I cheered. Finally! I'll spend one night with my Kellbelle. "Help me with the dishes, Riv." Raelynn said. I scoffed. "It's not my day for chores yet." I said. She gave the 'join so we can talk' look. I nodded and turned off the song. Meadow came downstairs. She sighed. "Dad, if I were to go to a friend's house, would you be ok with it?" She asked. "Yes. Who's this friend though?" He said. I smiled and mouthed 'say it's a girl' to her. She chuckled. "She's one of my friends." She told him. He fake smiled. "Ok but I'll be driving you there." He said. She smiled nervously. "Ok thanks." She said. We shared chuckles as we continued washing dishes. "Did it work?" Raelynn whispered. I smirked. "Yup. I can't wait to have Kelly over." I whispered. "Sooner or later you have to tell him." She whispered. I huffed. "Why does it feel so hard?" I muttered. She patted my shoulder. It's true. I'm confident he wouldn't care but why is it hard to say it? Am I afraid he'll think I lied about the study session? We'll only study though. Maybe a few kisses and hugs, wow I'm not good at this. I sighed. "I'll figure something out." I said. She nodded and turned the song on. I left and made a beeline to my room. I excitingly grabbed my phone to call Kelly. Wonder what's her reaction.

We're at CJ's house with Lily. She sighed, smiling. "I don't know River. I love to study with you but you haven't told your dad about us." She said. I nodded my head no. "He doesn't care if I invite someone to study...as long as it's not a boy." I said. Lily chuckled. "Wow, genius." She said. I laughed. "I know." I said. We both high five. CJ playfully rolled her eyes. "Just tell him and get it over with! He's gonna know sooner or later." She said. Ugh, she sound like Raelynn. I raised an eyebrow. "How sooner or later?" I asked. She smiled deviously. "When you two do- Leila cut her off. "Anyway, it's your decision if you wanna be honest. I mean it's understandable if you're uncomfortable to tell him." She said. I groaned. "It's more than that." I said. Kelly grappled my arm in comfort. "What's wrong?" She asked. I sighed. "I feel confident he wouldn't care but it feels hard to admit it." I said. Kelly kissed my cheek. "Aww, it's not easy telling your parents about your sexuality. Your dad's really great, I know he'll understand." She said. I smiled. "Thanks babe." I whispered. "Just say, dad I love girls the same way I love boys. Kelly's my girlfriend and I'm happy. Simple!" CJ added. I rolled my eyes. "You're not the best at direct advice." Leila muttered. Kelly laughed. "River, just use confidence for the words as much you know he wouldn't care. You never know. He'll probably not care and be fine with it." She said. I nodded. CJ rolled out of the couch. "K, anyone up for mom's famous tilapia? She likes to cook early." She said. Lily rolled her eyes. I chuckled as me and Kelly raised our hands.
Kelly POV
A while later, we took an Uber back to my house. CJ stayed behind to help her parents clean up. River's still thinking of how to tell her dad. She shouldn't worry because I'm sure he'll understand. Lily was occupied listening to music. I sighed and flunked on my pillow. River smiled sweetly. I smirked. "What's that smile for?" I asked. She smiled nervously. "Anytime I see your beautiful smiles." She said. I playfully rolled my eyes and chuckled. "Still wanna study together?" I said. She caressed my cheek. "It'll make me the most happiest." She said softly. Aww! Ugh, River says the sweetest things. I sighed happily. "Ok." I said. She cheered and hugged me. I smiled and hugged back. Leila took off her headphones. "Am I interrupting something?" She joked. We laughed and nodded our heads no. River smirked. "My house at 7. Wear something cutely pink." She said. My cheeks burned red. "You think I look cute wearing pink?" I teased. She nodded, kissing my forehead. I giggled.*****
Tonight was 6:59. I raided my closet and found a cute outfit River requested for our study session. My English textbook and notebook was in my grasp. Mom dropped me off and will pick me up around 9. I came on the doorstep and knocked on the door. It took a second till it opened. River. Wow she looks amazing. I inhaled the smell of tropical beach and her perfect curly hair. She smiled. "Hello lovely." She whispered. I madly blushed. "Stop." I said. I walked in and she closed the door. Bredia waved from the kitchen. I smiled. "Let's go upstairs." River said. I nodded as we went upstairs to her bedroom.
I settled my stuff on her bed. She opened her laptop and the lesson. Her textbook and notebook beside her. She smiled. "Now where were we?" She whispered. I chuckled. "River, it's a study session." I said. She nodded as we began to go over the project. I smiled. "Ever read Shakespeare's poems? They're so good." I asked. She raised an eyebrow. "If I say yes, will I get a kiss?" She said, smirking. I returned the gesture and motioned her to answer the question. River sighed. "They're alright. Romeo and Juliet's ok though I don't like when they kill theirselves to be with each other." She said. I giggled. "Me too. I love the beautiful moments a couple would share." I said. She smiled. "I love this one." She said. I smiled warmly. We looked into each other's eyes. "I love you." She whispered. "Love you too." I said. We kissed passionately. We begun making out on her bed. Luckily, nobody's interrupting. The door opened, revealing Mr. Walker. "Hey, what is going on here?" He asked. Once we heard we quickly got off each other. He looked at us in shock. We shared the same look. I immediately fixed my hair and shirt. She smiled nervously. Maybe this shouldn't had happened.

A while later, River and her dad was in the living room while I was upstairs. They were discussing what just happened. Guess this is the time to tell him the truth. I hope he wasn't angry or disappointed. I sat criss-crossed on the floor with my textbook on my lap. Finally, River walked in...with a huge smile. I was confused. "Everything ok? Did you tell him?" I asked. I studied her look. I smiled, realizing what it meant. I ran into her arms. She picked me up and spun me around. "I love you. I don't care who knows." She whispered. I looked at her in awe. "River, I love you more." I said. We kissed passionately. We parted and she shrugged. "I guess I forgot dad want us to be who we really are." She said. I sighed happily. "What to do now?" She asked. I kissed her lips. "Our study date." I said, smirking. She laughed as we sat on the bed and continued studying.
