My Happy Memory

Next Morning...

Yes! The weekend is here! It's been a hella crazy week of my life. Knowing I had powers was awesome and I've tried practicing alone in the common room. Hogwarts was still going through its graduation ceremony on May 29th. Lily was supposed to rest this weekend. I'm nobody's nanny but I promised her brothers I'd look after her and make sure she's feeling better. CJ sent letters to Drell about my powers. Hopefully he'll get them soon. I did my morning routine and showered before slipping on this:

The whole time a smile was on my face. A perfect time to wear different colors. I walked out of the bathroom. CJ and everyone else were already awake this morning except Lily. She was still peacefully asleep. Little Firecracker needed it after an exhausting week. But dang, her features weren't easy to ignore. Proud freckles, baby buttoned nose, her fingertips containing no nail polish, her fiery hair splattered on the pillow. My eyes diverted to her softened lips. They almost touched mine two times. I couldn't help but imagine what would've happened after. Would it mean we're- I snapped out of my thoughts when she was yawning groggily. She saw me and smiled sleepily. "Morning." She said. I chuckled. "Morning little red. You slept quite late." I joked. Lily sat up and stretched tiredly. "I did?" She asked. I nodded my head no and smirked. "It's only 8:40. Everyone's abuzz about the graduation. Me, Ceej, Jack and Leila will be set for classes in next term. Right now it's just participating." I told her. She nodded in understanding while rolling out of bed. My cheeks heated insanely. How lucky was I? Her PJs were a black belly button top and white-grayish shorts. All shown her belly button and long legs. Damn! "River?" She called. That took me off the trance. I cleared my throat. "Yeah?" I asked. She covered her mouth in a giggle. "Nice Bee stripes." She joked. I hummed in response before walking up to her. "Could say the same for you. Mommy ever say don't dress inappropriately?" I teased. Lily scoffed and smiled teasingly. "Says the girl from Cali." She mocked. I looked down and snickered. "I think you watch too much muggle TV. Little red, I'm the real thing." I bragged. She playfully rolled her eyes. "Don't flatter yourself bumblebee." She sassed. My attention was thrown back to her top. Her curves from the neck to a perfectly circular waist. Not to mention the abs beginning to show from underneath. Does this girl work out? Anyone who likes to be athletic sure earns my respect. My hand caressed her cheek softly. She looked at it then back at me. "Are you ok?" She whispered. I lightly scoffed. "Never better." I whispered. My other hand slowly intertwined with her fingertips. She inhaled a deep breath and madly blushed. "River, I need to get dressed and I'm super hungry too." She whispered. We parted. I nodded in agreement. "Of course. Besides your breath is on fire. Literally." I said, joking at the last part. She stuck her tongue at me and hit me with a pillow. I smiled and chuckled. "Hilarious." She said sarcastically before going to the bathroom. I clasped my hands together and sighed happily. "Now, breakfast." I said.

After breakfast time, CJ wanted to join one of the classes despite my million objections. It wasn't surprising the one she picked was D.A.D.A. I mean, it's why our bookbags and textbooks are here. We could learn a few things before we leave. We went to the Slytherin Dungeons and found the classroom. Half of the class is Gryffindors and the other is Slytherins. Jeez. "Mamma Mia." I blurted. Thankfully everyone was too chatterbox to hear me say that. CJ smiled excitedly. "Tell me about it. Let's find our desk." She said. We walked pass a few desks and found an empty one between two full desks. I put my books down and wrapped my backpack around my chair. "Got your wand?" She asked. Ugh! I left it on my bed! "Shit." I muttered. She smiled, pulling it out of her pocket. I mentally breathed a breath of relief. CJ smirked. "In case you 'forget' again." She joked. I couldn't help but stare at my dress robe disgustedly. This is...nada da. Nope! I'm in a good mood and supposed to wear my bright colors. Not this gloomy-Darth Vader crap. I mentally facepalmed. I really don't know how these kids handle it. I sighed deeply. "Hate this dark cape." I muttered through gritted teeth. She rolled her eyes and chuckled. "It's a robe! You can't stand robes?" She asked. I fake smiled. "Meaning ones with colors? No I don't. This pretty much screams Darth Vader mixed with Michael Myers." I sassed. She raised an eyebrow weirdly. "How can this scream Michael Myers?" She asked. I grabbed my wand and pretended to slice my throat. She slowly nodded in understanding yet shivered. All I know is this class better end sooner. "River! CJ!" A familiar male voice called. We looked to the left and realized Albus and Scorpius were sitting in the second row of Slytherins. CJ smiled, waving. "Hey guys!" She beamed. I fake smiled while intentionally trying to rip a piece of my robe. Unfortunately, it isn't working before I realized Roxanne and Rose were seated in the first row. Someone tapped my shoulder from behind. I turned to see Alice. She's recognizable cause most of these girls are redheads and she is a brunette. She smiled sweetly. "River, right?" She asked. I scoffed. "In the flesh." I said confidently. Alice slightly gasped. "Lily was right. You do have an ego." She told me. Eh! I've been called worse but did I ever give a fuck? I simply shrugged. "What else is new?" I asked sarcastically. She chuckled. "I was wondering if she told you and CJ about this little party we're having?" She asked. A. Party? Someone is throwing a party and didn't think to invite me? How awfully shameful. I'm always down for parties. "What party?" I asked. Lucy, beside her looked up from her textbook. "A party between only our cousins, siblings and friends too. A little bit of alcohol." She said, whispering the last part. Hold up- wait a minute! I'm down for parties but I'm no drinker. Two reasons. One, I'm saving up for my 21st or 18th birthday, two if Mom ever smell alcohol in my breath she'd cut my colons and give them to the piranhas. But I'll always party like there's no tomorrow so why not? Only no alcohol. I smiled confidently. "I. Am. Down." I said. Alice cheered silently. "Down for what?" CJ asked confusedly. "We're holding a little party with only Wotters and you both, Leila and Jack are invited. It'll be tonight at Teddy and Victoire's house at six." She told her. Her jaw dropped. "Really?! Cool!" She cheered. Oh lord. I'll need to warn them about alcohol before anything happens. Leila would understand but Ceej and Jack? Wrong cloud. Lucy smirked. "Better tame yourself if you're taking a sip." She teased. She was confused as we turned around. "I'll tell you later." I whispered in her ear. She was still confused but nodded.
