(When she smiled at River)
Lily chased me till we got to another Tower. CJ told me it's an Astronomy Tower for studying eclipses or stars. It explains the balcony where you'd see the whole constellation and moon. We caught up to the balcony, making me stop abruptly. She growled angrily. "Do a spell to remove this off my face or you'll be at St. Mungos soon!" She threatened. The greenness was still all over her face. I playfully rolled my eyes. "Cmon! I think you look good in green. Just wear a mask in public." I said, raising an eyebrow at the last part. She almost spoke till the greenness disappeared from her face. I smiled. "Matter of fact you're prettier without it." I said. Lily was confused till she stared at her phone camera and breathed a breath of relief. "Tell me. Do you always chase people who say one word?" I asked. She scoffed while putting her wand in her pocket. "What do you mean?" She asked. I rolled my eyes but laid against the wall. "Getting angry if someone says one word or do one thing to you." I said. Lily rolled her eyes. "Like you?" She sassed. I smiled and crossed my arms. "What's with the attitude? I'm asking a question. Simple." I said. She flunked herself on some nearby chair. "You clearly don't know how stand-offish and practically arrogant you are." She said. I scoffed, pointing at myself. "Me? Arrogant? If I was I'd be making this conversation about me. Nothing wrong with having a simple conversation." I said. Lily fake laughed. "I tried having a 'simple' conversation with you but you were completely impossible." She said. I playfully rolled my eyes and shoved my hands in my jean pockets. "Excuse me if I don't trust new people easily." I sassed. Two minutes of silence was present. She inhaled a deep breath. "How come? Like what happened?" She asked. I nodded my head no and slid down to the floor. "Nothing happened. It's just me. Meeting new people usually turns rather horrible or shitty. Sometimes they turn out to be a bad friend, liar or someone pretty fake. Before homeschooling, I was the all-around popular tomboy in my old school. Friends came with that of course including popular ball jocks." I explained. She playfully smirked. "Popular tomboy huh? That sounds rather cool." She said. I shrugged and returned the gesture. "Better than skirts and pink sweaters." I joked. We chuckled. "Truth is I had these friends based on my rep for being athletic and being related to a famous celebrity. I wanted friends who are loyal, got your back, joke around with you and would do anything crazy for fun. That's when I met CJ." I continued. She nodded but looked at me weirdly. "Who is he? Sorry if I asked." She said. I smiled. "Paul Walker. Brian O'Conner. Fast and Furious." I told her. It took a minute till her eyes widened. "Blimey! Really?! The boys love Fast and Furious! James, Albus and Fred do. None of us never see it till they make us watch them. Usually, me and my brothers would have a midnight breakfast and watch Friends marathon." She said, the shock in her voice. I covered my face while snickering. "Well there's a shock! Friends are alright to me. Hella hilarious! You should see more muggle movies on Netflix." I said. She chuckled. "What'd you think we have TVs at my house for?" She joked. I smiled warmly. "At first I didn't want people to think I'm a spoiled actor's daughter. My relationship with my Dad is incredible. He's like my best friend. He understands me more than anyone. I love doing tomboyish things with him and my twin brothers. When I was born, he named me River because he had a love for the ocean growing up. He even taught me how to surf and we love the same car. Skyline." I explained. Lily returned the gesture. "Me too. I have incredible relationships with my cousins. Especially my parents. My Dad taught me how to ride a broom when I was little. Yes, being the baby I must've been spoiled but there's more to me than being Harry Potter's daughter. Including my cousins." She said. Ok. Maybe I shouldn't had judged her a bit yesterday. She got off the chair and walked to the balcony. "You have no idea what it's been like." She said softly. I looked down and sighed. A small whoosh of cold flew through from outside. Damn. London can be so cold. She crossed her arms in order to warm up. I took off my jacket and wrapped it around her shoulders. Lily looked up and smiled. Gosh, that natural smile that isn't plastered with anything. "You didn't have to. I'm wearing my jumper." She told me. I rolled my eyes and smirked. "Think of it as an apology gesture. Your reflection's a lot prettier without anything." I said. She looked at me in awe. My cheeks began heating up. "Thanks. Could say the same for you." She whispered. Our attention diverted to the evening sky. A couple stars were showing. "This is a lot different at the beach. You can literally see this from laying on the sand. What's better is camping out too." I mentioned. She nodded. "I used to do this a lot at home. It would just be me and Mom when my brothers were at Hogwarts. A little lonely but I enjoyed the peacefulness." She said. I smiled. "There's peacefulness when it's just me, my guitar and the ocean." I whispered. She looked at me and smirked. "Still think I'm spoiled?" She teased. I sighed. "Don't ever listen to what people say Lily. Not a lot of people have what you have. You should be grateful for all the blessings you have. If there's anything anyone wants in the world, it's love." I told her. She looked at me in shock. "Hey, you called me my real name! And didn't joke about it either!" She beamed, smiling. I laughed. "Give it time little red. It'll come around." I assured. Lily giggled. "Better late than ever." She said. We made eye contact for a minute. I was right. She has natural brown orbs and fieriness color of her hair. Honestly it's hard to not stare. "We're obviously forgetting about the dinner party." I whispered. She lightly scoffed. "None of it makes a difference now." She whispered. We slowly leaned closer and closer till...the door flung open. It made us part instantly. Weird. Nobody was at the entrance. "What the hell just happened?" I asked confusedly. She shrugged. "The wind must've flown the door open." She told me. I smiled and crossed my arms. "Glad you're feeling warm." I joked. She smirked, motioning me to quiet. "Let's get back. It's probably time for bed." She whispered. I nodded. Our hands unknowingly intertwined as we snuck quietly back to Gryffindor Tower.
In our room, all the girls were asleep including Lily. She slept peacefully with her hair splattered on the pillow and blankets covered from shoulder to feet. Arousing butterflies swam inside my abdomen. I couldn't stop thinking about our tiny moment. My jacket was hanged on their study chair. It really fitted her well and how she hugged it to her chest. I laid back onto my pillow, bringing my blankets to mine. Thoughts flowed in my brain about being here for a whole month. CJ truly needs to because this is part of who she really is. The wand I got kept whooshing wind around me once I found it. Even Drell found it really odd. I reached for my cup of water and noticed an ice cube fell instantly from my finger into the cup. My jaw dropped. Ok, the hell just happened? I moved it again and another ice cube fell in the water. I covered my mouth in shock. "Shit." I whispered quietly.
