I sipped my Butterbeer and hummed my song for a good minute. I'm really considering the decision to record it someday. People should listen to relatable music because it's inspiring and uplifting. CJ was practically being tutored by Molly, Roxanne and Lucy about Potions and D.A.D.A spells. Lily looked at me weirdly. "What are you humming?" She asked. I inhaled a deep breath. "My song." I quickly told her. She was confused. "Your song? You sing too?" She asked. I nodded, smiling. "Kinda pulled an acoustic performance last night for the girls." I said. Her eyes widened. "It was you?!" She whispered/yelled. I shrugged. "Yeah." I said. She caressed her hair and looked down. "Umm...I overheard someone's voice before going to bed. It sounded really wonderful so I kept listening. I didn't know it was you." She told me. I pretended to cry, putting my hand on my heart. "I'm so touched!" I said in a high-pitched voice. She low-key giggled. "The song is so beautiful. What's it called?" She asked. I fiddled with my fingertips and sighed. "Usually, I don't like speaking about my music cause I might release it sooner." I sassed. Lily smiled teasingly. "A teen sensation doesn't talk much about her music? How amazing." She said sarcastically. I fake chuckled. "I'll only talk about my music in interviews." I said. She hummed in response and put her fist under her chin. "You don't share it with anyone? Like your parents? Siblings? CJ?" She randomly asked. I rolled my eyes. "Should I give you my work schedule?" I asked annoyedly. Lily sighed happily and smiled. "It feels so good!" She said. I raised an eyebrow. "What?" I asked. "To annoy you like you annoyed me!" She joked, giggling. Lord, this girl can't take a break. I inhaled a deep breath. "Firecracker, if you wanna load my cannon try not to drop the match." I threatened softly. She scoffed and smirked. "Who's loading your cannon? I'm only making small talk." She said. "Let's be honest this small talk is triggering my bombs." I said. She playfully rolled her eyes and smiled. "Are you always this stand-offish?" She asked. I huffed irritatingly. "Are we always communicating with the same one word in different damn sentences?" I quickly asked. She shrugged innocently. "I don't know, are we?" She mocked. I scoffed. "I sure as hell isn't." I said confidently. She scoffed. "What an understatement cause I'm not either." She said. Alright. The cannon is now loose. I cleared my throat and lifted a finger. "She Potter, I'll give two seconds to cut this strange- She cut me off by turning around to talk to Lucy. It's taking every ounce of me not to go Harley Quinn over her redheaded ass. Stay calm River. I inhaled a calm breath and talked with Roxanne about denim jackets.

An hour passed. We left the cafe and decidedly went to the Weasley's joke shop. Ha! If I knew this shop would have all juicy-pranky things, I could've Floo'd myself here. I was admiring these different colored candies and they sure look like small Sweet Tarts. But you can't always trust these prank gadgets. I looked up to see everyone has split up everywhere. Near the love potion isle, Lucy and Rose were. Sometimes it's crazy keeping up with these Weasley-Potter kids. Where is CJ? Jack walked up to me and smiled. "Being a lone wolf are we?" He teased. I scoffed. "Try keeping up with a huge pack of Wotters. I don't even know where CJ is." I said. He chuckled, motioning me to turn around. I turned and saw her talking to Albus across the room. She smiled shyly. My eyes widened. "Oh. My Lord." I whispered. "CJ's got a crush! CJ's got a crush!" He sing-songed. I rolled my eyes. "Cut it out Jack." I told him. In a few seconds I smiled dreamily. "CJ's got a crush! CJ's got Potter fever! She's got Potter fever!" I sing-songed. We laughed quietly. Never thought I'd see the day my best friend is finally mingling. Jack smirked. "They really seem into each other!" He said. I shushed him with my finger. "We don't know that yet. Give it time. Maybe sparks will fly between two weeks." I whispered. He nodded in understanding. "What about you?" He asked. I scoffed. "What about me?" I asked. "Your love life. I hope you're not still mad over- I cut him off. "My breakup? No one is holding grudges J." I said annoyedly. He nodded his head no. "I meant that you're still keeping yourself from dating again. Kelly wasn't really for you. I can tell." He told me. I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow. "Give me the facts then." I said. Jack hummed in response. "You always say you want someone who's exciting, confident in their own skin, not afraid to truly be themselves and I quote 'I'm not into fakeness'. You'd be impressed if they're tough enough to make you mad, laugh or in fact smile. Honestly, it is freaking hard to impress you." He said. I nodded in agreement. "Thanks for acknowledging." I said sarcastically. He shrugged. "But it doesn't hurt giving love another try. You never know. That someone could be here right now." He advised. I grabbed the four candies and huffed. "Jack, it isn't that I don't wanna love. I'm not gonna be rushing to love like I'm playing Truth or Dare. I'm all for dares but the truth is I'm not playing with my feelings or trust. I'm not those girls who get easily swooned by a couple Prince Charmings just cause he's pretty or rich." I explained. He nodded in understanding and patted my shoulder. "What about you? Anyone special?" I playfully mocked. Jack snickered to himself. "Not yet. Let's just say I'm waiting patiently. James is really into this girl Alice Longbottom which makes Fred and I the single boys club." He said, chuckling the last part. I bursted into a fit of snickers. He shushed me and rolled his eyes. "Don't laugh or I'd join those dead wizards." He muttered through gritted teeth. "Oh grow two pears! He's about the same height as you." I sassed. Jack nodded. "Except with broad shoulders and muscled arms." I blurted. His jaw dropped. "Oops!" I squealed. He low-key growled. "I'll choose to ignore that." He whispered. I smiled sheepishly. "Anyways, I'll be getting these candies. Something tells me they'll be useful later." I told him. Jack looked at me curiously. "Why?" He asked. I smiled deviously. "We're in a prank shop remember?" I whispered. He smirked while backing away. "Don't make me one of your victims." He joked but in a serious tone. My eyes diverted to Lily joining the conversation between Hugo and Roxanne. I smiled wickedly. "Duh. I have one already." I said.

All the free time does wear me out but gives me the advantage to create my prank. 6pm struck and we were having dinner. Leila smiled, waving from Ravenclaw table. I returned the gesture. Lyra, Scorpius's sister is in the same house. CJ came through the hall, holding a plate of vanilla cupcake. She winked. I hid a smirk as she sat between me and Molly. She waved at Hugo and Albus since they're at Slytherin and Hufflepuff tables. The cupcake got almost everyone's attention including my opponent: Ms. Firecracker. Roxanne smiled. "Mm! Where'd you get that cupcake?" She asked. I fake smiled. "Actually, I got it for someone." I told her. They were now very eager to know. "Like who?" Lucy asked anxiously. "For Firecracker of course!" I beamed. Lily looked at me weirdly. "Why would you wanna give me a cupcake?" She asked. I fake gasped. "Is there any other way of being a good friend?" I asked. Lucy sighed. "Cmon Lils it's a kind gift." She said. James rolled his eyes. "Enjoy it cause we're not making you cupcakes." He added. Lily hummed in response. "On one condition." She said, smirking. I growled and huffed. "You gotta be kidding me-CJ cut me off by grabbing my arms. "River! River, relax. Relax." She said in a soothing voice. This was practically making Firecracker's night no doubt. I took a deep breath and fake smiled. "What is it?" I asked through gritted teeth. James and Fred snickered. "This oughta be good!" Fred whispered. Roxanne kicked their shins underneath. They pretended not to be in slight pain. Lily smiled deviously. "Say my name. My real name. Not firecracker or Ginger fox." She ordered. I huffed deeply but cleared my throat. "Lily." I mumbled. "I'm sorry, what was that?" She sassed. The girls were low-key giggling. "Lily! Now take this cupcake!" I growled. Rose playfully rolled her eyes. "Lily, just take the cupcake." She pleaded. Firecracker budged and took it off the plate and munched. CJ was quietly snickering. Jack smirked knowingly. I smiled innocently. "Say Fire-I mean Lily, how does it taste?" I teased. Soon everybody's jaw dropped toward her face. James and Fred including Jack bursted into laughter. CJ was letting out loud snickering. I covered my mouth in a snicker. Lily looked around confusedly. "Blimey, what's wrong with everybody?" She asked. Lucy almost spoke till she stared at the plate's silhouette. She was greener than a goblin! Her eyes widened. I playfully danced and snickered. "Gotcha! Gotcha!" I cheered. Lily growled angrily. "Bloody hell! I'm really gonna kill you!" She growled. I laughed. "Ginger fox or Green smurf, we're even now." I said. Everyone officially calmed down from laughing. She pulled out her wand while glaring. Lucy breathed nervously. "River, run." She warned. I shrugged before getting up and running off. She chased me behind. CJ smirked. "Who's gonna help?" She asked. Roxanne looked at them then back at her. "Give it time. We'll know if she survived tomorrow..." She trailed off. Everyone nodded in agreement.
