I woke up to find myself leaning up against a car window. I sit up confused.

Luckily all my memories from last night came rushing back to me and I have to hold back a groan.

Ugh! Not only did I faint in front of Damon! The jerk also decided to take me on that little roadtrip with him!

Thank goodness, I saved Lexi so Bree won't try to kill us when we get there.

"Morning sleepy head." Damon cooes from the driver seat.

"Where the hell am I and why the hell am I in a car with you?" I ask, sounding both angry and confused.

"We're in Georgia. And to answer your second question, you were attacked by a vampire." Damon said nonchalantly.

I furrowed my brow, pretending to be irritated. "I'm being serious, Damon. Where are we and what happened?"

"So am I." Damon says. My body stiffens and I gulp a little, wanting him to think I'm afraid.

"You're the Damon Salvatore from my ancestor John Gilbert's journal written in 1864, aren't you?" I ask timidly and his eyes widen.

"Yes." He answers softly after a moment.

"Can you please pull over, Damon?" I ask softly. Surprisingly, he does what I ask.

After he parks on the side of the road, I slowly climb out of the car but almost fall due being light headed.

Damon vamp speeds over to my side of the car and steadies me. I slowly and timidly look up at him to see a look of concern in his eyes.

"Sorry, it's just a lot to take in Damon. All the vampire stories written about in the journal are true. I mean, I've always worn vervain since reading the journals but I thought it was just some superstitious practice my ancestors liked to do." I rambled, fidgeting with the vervain necklace around my neck that I've always worn since I showed up here. Granted I did fill it with vervain not too long ago but he didn't need to know that.

Damon's brow furrowed. "You're not afraid of me?"

I smiled a little bit. "No. I have a feeling that if you wanted me dead, I'd alright be dead."

He chuckled at that. "You are a perceptive little thing."

"So I've been told. I'm assuming Elena knows, judging by her hostility towards you." I say as I climb back into the car. Damon vamps himself back into the driver seat.

"Yep." He said, popping the "p" as he started to drive again.

"She really has to get over that. Stefan's one too." I say.

"Oh, but Stefan drinks animal blood so he's more humane than human blood drinker Damon." He says in a dramatic tone.

My brow furrows. "Really? From what I've heard vampire's who drink animal blood tend to be very unstable. If they were to ever start drinking human blood, they'd go on a rampage. That doesn't sound very humane to me." I say with a chuckle and Damon gapes at me.
