For reasons I couldn't fathom, I found myself walking into the Salvatore house. Inside, Stefan sat on the couch with a glass of something to drink in his hand and Damon stood there, yelling at his brother. I couldn't understand what either of them were saying but I could tell they were in the middle of a pretty heated argument.

I also noticed that I stood in both their lines of vision, but neither of them noticed I was there. It was as if I were invisible.

Stefan slowly stood up from the couch to stand right in front of his brother after setting his glass down next to one of Damon's glasses of blood. The two stood there talking for a moment before Stefan's body went flying across the room. Apparently, Damon didn't like whatever Stefan had to say. My guess is they're arguing over Elena.

Stefan got right back up and sped over to Damon, shoving him right back. The two brothers started to really go at it, though it was clear that Damon was kicking his little brother's ass. Eventually Damon shoved Stefan into the side table, knocking Stefan and the glasses to the floor. Damon moved to advance on his brother, but quickly halted when he saw that the glass of human blood was spilt all over Stefan, more specifically his face.

I watched in horror as Stefan's tongue slowly poked out of his mouth to lick the blood off of his lips. Veins quickly formed around Stefan's eyes. The Ripper of Montgomery has been awoken.

I gasped and shot up in bed. Holy shit!

I run my hands shakily through my hair as I try to process what I just saw. I don't know for sure, but I think I just had my first vision in this world. Gloria did say I was a seer after all. I guess I just didn't need to have any til now. Now that I have changed things. The story isn't the same as the one I used to watch on my tv screen late at night.

Except Stefan going a little off the rails is still happening, despite me intervening and saving him so Elena couldn't force feed him. But nevertheless, fate seemed to find a way. I guess this was just always supposed to happen, one way or another.

With a sigh I got up and climbed out of bed, I headed over to my closet and pulled out some clothes. I had a pretty busy day ahead of me so I should probably get going. I quickly throw on an outfit and put on a little make-up before throwing my hair up into a ponytail.

Satisfied with my look, I leave my bathroom and head to my safe house after looking around to make sure I'm not being followed by a certain blue-eyed Salvatore - I did not want him to learn about my safehouse or know what I am up to. Once there I head into the basement and grab some syringes full of vervain, shoving them into my backpack.

First, I'm going to need to go hunting in the woods for animal blood and herbs, and a lot of it. Stefan needs to be weaned off an entirely human blood diet. My hope is to get him started on the drop or two of human blood a day without him even being aware of it. My plan is to give him pre-made bottles of blood mixed with these herbs I read about that are known to have some calming properties on vampires and put a drop or two of human blood mixed in as well.

My guess is that a big part of his addiction is psychological. I suspect, based on what I read in some of the psychology books I purchased, that Stefan's basal ganglia - a part of the brain which plays an important role in positive forms of motivation as well as habits and routines - is being over-activated by human blood producing a feeling of euphoria while he feeds. And with repeated exposure through excessively feeding, his brain adapts to constantly feeling because he cannot function without the euphoric feeling drinking blood produces. In other words, his mind associated feeding on human blood with feeling good. And because of Lexi's help - no offense to her, love her - he also feels an excessive amount of guilt when he feels, resulting in him feeding more in order to get rid of the negative feeling.
