This is the evening of the Miss Mystic Falls beauty pageant where Elena and Caroline would compete for the title of Miss Mystic Falls, even though it is not much of a competition. For the most part aside from Stefan not robbing blood banks, drawing the councils' attention, and letting his Ripper colors show to Elena for the first time and Bonnie being better versed in magic thanks to my help, the plot is the same. Bonnie is still on the rocks with Elena and doesn't trust the Salvatores because her Grams died saving them, Caroline and Matt are hitting another bump in their budding relationship, and Elena is worried about Stefan because he seems to be hiding things from her. Which he is but this time it isn't the fact that he's nearly on the verge of going on a killing spree. I wasn't too sure what Damon was doing this time around since Stefan is on the up and up and he doesn't have to worry about the council being suspicious or at least any more suspicious than John made them. No visions and no interactions with the blue-eyed Salvatore meant I had no clue what he's been up to. After his visit to my bedroom, I haven't felt the need to see him and it seems he felt the same.

I don't expect there to be any real drama tonight except maybe seeing Elena try to talk to Bonnie and fail to gain the girls' forgiveness. And to my surprising delight, there shouldn't be a reason for Damon and Elena to dance together tonight. The moment that sparked the Delena flame wouldn't happen. I don't know why it made me feel happy but it did. Even though I know Damon would never have romantic feelings for me when there was a doppelganger in the picture and while I'm so young, but I couldn't help but notice a connection between us. A connection that both frightened and intrigued me.

"Come on Mari! We've got to go!" Jeremy called, pulling me from my thoughts. Rolling my eyes at my brother's haste, I grab my clutch and head for the door to my room.

"I'm coming, you big baby." I call back as I leave my room and head towards him.

"I am NOT a baby!" He snaps annoyed as I walk up to him.

"Says the guy who asked for chocolate milk this morning." I tease as I pat his shoulder and walk out the front door of the safe-house. He grumbles something incoherent before following me out to the car. We drove to the Gilbert house to pick up Jeremy's suit jacket before leaving with Uncle John to the Lockwood manor for the pageant.

Saying the car ride was torture would be an understatement. Uncle John had spent the whole car ride grilling the two of us, asking where we have been staying the last few nights. Us constantly reminding him that we had Jenna's permission and he wasn't our guardian so it wasn't his business.

As soon as we arrived, Jeremy and I entered the hall and lost Uncle John in the crowd. We found Jenna already with a glass of wine in her hand as she talked with some of the uppity towns members attending the event.
