The next day, Elena and Damon met at the Gilbert house to discuss Stefan's strange behavior. Just like she had in the show after Stefan's episode last night in her bedroom. I was making breakfast for Jeremy and I when Damon showed up on our doorstep. Elena quickly came downstairs and got the door after the first doorbell rang.

"Oh, good you're here." Elena breathed out in relief when she pulled the front door open to see Damon standing on the other side.

"You ask, I came. I am easy like that." Damon said with his signature smirk. Elena, not wanting Jeremy or I to see Damon here. She held a finger up to her lips as she closed the door, gesturing to Jeremy and I. Damon, however, had other plans.

"No, Elena. I will not...go to your bedroom with you." Elena glared at the eldest Salvatore before rushing him upstairs to her room. Jeremy and I just rolled our eyes and went about our business.

Fast forward to later on in the day, Elena took Jeremy and I for a walk to tell us about her being adopted.

"I just can't believe that mom and dad never told you that you were adopted." Jeremy said, still in shock from the news.

"They would have told her, told both of you about it eventually." I told them as I kept walking. "They probably were scared that you would look at them differently if you knew. It never mattered to them, but they probably weren't sure.

"Yeah, I guess they would have eventually." Elena agreed with a sigh. Her face then scrunched up in confusion. "Wait, you knew?" She asked, stopping to stare at me. Shit.

Jeremy and Elena look at me, shocked. I let out a sigh, "Not for sure but I saw the family's medical record when I went through some of our parent's old stuff. Mom had no documented obstetrician visits during the time she would have been pregnant with you, but she did for Jeremy and I." I hope that Stefan's excuse will work.

Sadly, it seems that Jeremy knows me too well. "And? What else? I can tell there is something else."

I let out a sigh and rub my brows. "It's probably nothing." I say, deciding to fuck with the plot more.

"What's nothing, Mar?" Elena asks.

I let out another sigh. "You said your biological mom was from Grove Hill?"

Elena's brow furrows even more. "Yeah why?"

"This may be nothing, Elena. But I-I heard that back then Uncle John was fooling around with a younger girl from Grove Hill the year you were born." I say hesitantly. My siblings gape at me.

"Are you suggesting that Uncle John is Elena's biological father?" Jeremy asks. Elena just stares at me, speechless.

"I don't know, maybe. I mean, it would explain why Elena looks a lot like us even though she isn't biologically our sister." I speak.

"Thank you, for telling me, Marilyn." Elena says after an awkward moment of silence.

Elena ended up bringing up Jeremy's history paper in order to change the topic. Jeremy just played it off as him not believing anything in the journal, just looking for a good grade.

The walk ended soon after and the three of us went separate ways. But not before Elena begged me to go to the founders' party tonight that was honoring Uncle John with her. So now I guess I have to get ready to go to this shit show.
