I'd never wondered about love, atleast not the kind of a Romantic nature , the love of my friends and family was more then enough for me. I didn't dream of a husband or a Prince Charming or a knight in shining arm to come save me. I always figured I could just save myself.
2 days had passed since the dinner , since Rhaenyra and my favored side of the family had made their appearance, already being at court felt better. I spent my days playing with Luke and Jace just like In our childhood. My uncle Corlys sat at the small council and my father had given me to him to ward as he was away with my brothers in battle. I'd grown up alongside Jace and Luke. they were the first faces I'd learned to call friends . During the beginnings of the war for the step stones my uncles departed from the small council to fight alongside my father and Daemon Targaryen . I'd made my return with my aunt Rhaenys to driftmark it was there I befriended Amera , she was a servant girl about my age . Being away from the only true friends I had ever known was hard , I'd no one , not Laenor , not Laena . I was completely alone
We'd became fast friends and soon we were inseparable. I'd introduced her to the boys I had spoken so fondly of over the years.
" you must be the one who I'm told cries a lot prince Lucerys". She asked Luke looked to me an almost embarrassed look on his face
" when he was a little boy , but now Luke has grown strong , we can count on him to protect the both of us , can we not".
" of course my ladies , fear not ". He answered earning a few giggles from the both of us
" I take it your prince Jacerys", Amera asked
" the future king of the seven kingdoms, but you can call me Jace ". He said
" ouuuu the future king , accept my most deepest apologies your majesty ". Amera said teasingly which caused us all to laugh
" if only you two had brought your dragons , we could all go for a ride ", I said
" you both have Dragons ?" Amera asked shocked
" yes mines called Arrax , jace's Vermax ." Luke answered
" vermax and Arrax have to be gigantic now"I said
" their both smaller then syrax, arrax is smaller then vermax" . Luke told
" well your not so big , you've no need for a large dragon", i told
" there are three rider less dragon's back at dragonstone if you accept my mothers offer I'm sure she'd let you claim one". Jace told
Things felt as they did growing up again , my two childhoods colliding. As we danced and played about . I could live in these times forever.
" your growing slow old man ". I heard him say as I hid watching him from the back of some Barrels near the pits , he swung his sword which Sir Criston blocked with his shield
