[Lancel POV]

After passing through High Garden, we travel through the sand towards the Tower of Joy, as I do not recognize the path, I ask the system to be my guide, since I can get lost because there is no path to continue.

"I'm thirsty" Rhaenys tells him with a hoarse voice.

"Here" Lancel tells him passing the canteen

'Since we left I haven't given it anything to eat, I hope it resists until we reach the Tower of Joy, luckily there were no guards to stop us in Altojardín' Lancel thought

"Try to sleep" Lancel says patting her on the head, as the horse needs to rest, Lancel reduces the pace of the horse's trotting speed

[third person POV]

Three hours later...

Arthur Dayne watches a horse approaching the Tower, and alerts Ser Oswell Whent and Ser Gerold Hightower of someone's arrival.

When the knights see that there are two of them, they do not recognize the boy, but they do recognize the girl and it is Princess Rhaenys Targaryen asleep on the horse and wearing a cape on her shoulders

"Good morning Ser" Lancel says as he motions for Arthur Dayne to approach, when that as he approaches he sees the Albor sword, sticking out over his right shoulder, then he looks at the other two knights, one (Ser Oswell Whent ) with one helmet painted a black bat with outstretched wings and the other (Ser Gerold Hightower) in dazzling golden armor

Arthur Dayne approaches and lowers the Princess from the horse, then Lancel jumps down

"Who are you, and why are you with the Princess?" Arthur Dayne says looking at him with a frown

"We should kill him if he doesn't answer well" Ser Oswell tells him, while showing a cheerful smile.

"Let him speak first" Ser Gerold tells him, shaking his head, because Ser Oswell's words sounded inopportune.

"I came from rescuing Princess Elia and her children together with Lord Oberyn Martell, during the rescue we separated and have traveled alone since then" Lancel said looking at Ser Arthur Dayne

"What did you rescue her from?" Ser Oswell says beginning to draw the sword

"King Aerys is dead, and the Lannisters betrayed him and ordered the death of the royal family" Lancel says with a serious expression.

"Now answer, the questions that Ser Arthur asks you" Ser Gerold said angrily at the news

"I am Lancel Sand, bastard son of Lord Dayne," Lancel says looking at Ser Arthur. Ser Arthur Dayne is surprised that this child is his brother's child.

"When the Princess wakes up she will be hungry, do you have something to eat?" Lancel tells them, watching the Princess sleep in Ser Arthur Dayne's arms.

"We have" Ser Arthur said as he entered the tower

"We should have been there to kill those traitors" Ser Oswell said drawing his sword and slashing the air.

"Now only the children of the dragon remain, we must protect them" Ser Gerold said turning his gaze towards the tower

Then Lancel wants to enter the Tower and is stopped by Ser Oswell "Only as a ghost can you enter the Tower boy" he said blocking his way with his hand

"I'm hungry and thirsty" Lancel tells him, touching his stomach.

"Go in, and get him food and water," Ser Gerold says, ordering Ser Oswell to bring the child something to eat.

Ser Oswell enters the Tower, while Lancel hopes to satisfy his hunger and thirst for the long journey, stays outside with Ser Gerold

[Lancel POV]

As evening falls from afar I see Lord Eddard Stark and his companions coming, while Ser Oswell sharpens his sword, Ser Arthur and Ser Gerold rise and await their arrival.

I stay away in the meantime, so as not to interfere with the approaching fight, suddenly I feel someone behind me, I turn to see and there is no one, but I have the feeling that someone is watching me

The next moment I remember that it could be Bran and the three-eyed raven who are witnessing this moment in my present, and their future self, showing Bran how to use the powers of the weirwood (heart tree) of the children of the forest.

Lord Eddard gets off the horse along with his companions and approaches where Ser Arthur, Ser Gerold and Ser Oswell are waiting for him, who stopped sharpening his sword to accompany his sworn brothers.

"I looked for you in the trident" Lord Eddard tells them with his hands on the ancestral sword of House Stark, Ice

"We weren't there" Ser Gerold replied, taking his sword tightly in his right hand.

"Had he been there, the false King would cry tears of blood" Ser Oswell tells him, holding his sword

"When King's Landing fell, Ser Jaime slew your king with a golden sword. Where were you then?" Lord Eddard tells them after the royal guard's comments

"Very far away" Ser Gerold answers and continues "Otherwise, Aerys would continue occupying the Iron Throne, and our false brother would burn in the seven hells" he says disgusted by what Jaime did despite his vows

"I went down to Storm's End to lift the siege" Lord Eddard says and continues his prayer "Lord Tyrell and Lord Redwyne surrendered their banners, and all their knights knelt to swear allegiance to us. I was sure I would find you among them"

"We don't kneel so easily" Ser Arthur tells him after listening to the information that the Lord of Winterfell gave them.

"Ser Willem Darry has fled to Dragonstone with your queen and Prince Viserys. I thought you would have embarked with them" Lord Eddard tells them after failing to find them in Storm's End

"Ser Willem is a good and honest man" Ser Oswell tells him, thinking of the royal family that has managed to survive.

"But he does not belong to the Kingsguard" Ser Gerold tells him and continues "The Kingsguard does not run away."

"Not then, not now" Ser Arthur tells him putting on his helmet

"We swore an oath" Ser Gerold tells him also putting on the helmet

Eddard's companions join him, swords in hand, seven against three.

"And this is going to start right now," Ser Arthur tells him, drawing his sword of the dawn, Dawn, and holding it with both hands. The sword is white as milky glass; the light it radiates seems to have life

"No, this is going to end right now" Lord Eddard replied, getting on his guard ready to fight.
