[POV Lancel]

It's been nine months since I came into this world, and today I found out that I was born in early 279 AD.

I'm almost a year old. My development seems abnormal because my mother, Mary, often says I seem to be two years old. I've started walking and saying a few words.

Thanks to my rapid development, I can sleep apart from Lisa, my sister and Mary's biological daughter. She is older than me (nine months), she is one year and eight months old, and she is very attached to me since we shared the crib. Although sometimes she falls asleep next to me, sometimes she and I practice with a small wooden sword as if it were a real sword when our parents are not present.

Mary works as a tailor in my father Lord Dayne's house, and Robert works in the smithy making swords. I've seen the swords he makes, and I must say he has talent for blacksmithing.

Lisa has navy blue eyes, just like her mother, and Mary is a bit overweight. Robert is a muscular man, perhaps due to his work or his DNA.

Since I've been living with Mary and Robert, I love them as if they were my real parents, and Lisa as if she were my sister.

There is little time left for Robert's Rebellion and the death of Prince Rhaegar, as well as the death of Elia Martell and her children, who are killed in a horrible way at the hands of Gregor Clegane and his companion. What I most want to see is the confrontation at the Tower of Joy and witness the beginning of a part of the prophecy of the Prince That Was Promised.

I'm already thinking about forming a group of fighters so that we are not at a disadvantage when the Long Night begins. My first companion should be Prince Oberyn Martell; in my opinion, he is an excellent warrior. Over time, I will see who else can help me.

Three months later...

<The system is back in normal operation. The host is authorized under the name (Lancel), and the system will provide options for the host to develop powers appropriate to his age,> a voice in my mind said.

"¡¿?!" 'I was startled for a moment and then thought that it was previously a hallucination, so I was surprised to hear the voice in my mind again. Immediately, I felt relieved because this system could benefit me in this world'.

<The host has three free options for power development. 1) Power to strengthen the body. 2) Power to strengthen the mind. 3) Power to strengthen the soul. The host is advised to choose carefully among these options,> the system told me.

'I choose the first option,' I told the System. 'I will analyze the order in which the system showed me, so I should choose this way,' I thought.

<What power would you like to have?>

'Fighting instinct,' I tell the System. 'I've always liked the fighting instinct of a character in Tokyo Ghoul, 'Arima,' I thought.

<Initiating option, loading fighting instinct into the Host, waiting time seven days and fourteen minutes>

'Why the delay?' I asked the System.

<The fighting instinct is the most developed power one has to strengthen the body; therefore, it will take longer to install in the host's body,> replied the System

'What powers can I ask the system for?' I inquire.

<Only powers that the body can withstand, and that do not cause harm to the power hierarchy of this world,> replied the System.

'It seems I can trick the system with powers convenient to survive in this world, but not ask for something that would disrupt the balance,' I thought.

'Can the system give me the power to transport myself from one place to another?' I asked. 'Of course, I thought about all the hassle of traveling a great distance on horseback or by wagon, and that thought bothered me'

<Yes, but the host must strengthen both the body and the mind and soul, so at this time, he cannot rely on this ability and must wait for the fighting instinct update to finish,> replied the System.

'System, can you give me information about what happened in the year 280 AD?' I request from the System.

<In the year 280 AD, the first daughter of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen is born. King Aerys II Targaryen has started to believe rumors about being overthrown by Prince Rhaegar, and the tournament at Harrenhal is about to take place>

'I'll have to practice more with the sword's handle and wait seven days to see what power to ask for from the other options and how long it will take for the new powers to update.'

Seven days later...

<Update complete. The host will feel slight discomfort for one day.>

'But I don't feel anything...' I thought.

The next moment, I feel cramps all over my body and a sharp pain that is difficult to bear...

Lancel "Damn it, this is not at all mild..." I said quietly cursing at the System.

Lisa looks at her brother, who is lying on the floor writhing in pain, and goes to find Mary.

[Mary's POV]

"Lisa, what is it, dear?" I ask affectionately as I see her agitated.

Lisa "My brother... My brother..." Lisa tells me, pointing towards the room.

In the room...

"My son... what's wrong?" I ask, picking him up in my arms.

I immediately take him to bed and place a wet cloth on his forehead to try to lower his body heat. Seeing no improvement, I carry him in one arm and Lisa in the other, bringing them both with me in search of the Maester.

"I'm not entirely sure what he has, but he'll be fine within a day. It's just muscle spasms; it must be because his body is developing too quickly for it to assimilate," the Maester tells me after administering a sedative.

I leave the Maester's tower and go home with my children.

"Where were you?" Robert asks me when he sees me arriving with our two children in my arms.

"I took Lancel to the Maester to find out what was wrong because he was in great pain when I found him lying on the floor," I tell him what happened while he was away.

"Let's hope he gets better," Robert says, taking Lisa and laying her down in her bed. He then lays Lancel down beside her and tells me he'll make a bed for Lancel to sleep better, as the one he has is made with a plank crossed over two logs.

"Let them rest," Robert tells me, carrying me in his arms to our room.
