Chapter 23: Talking with Viserys

(Lancel POV)

 Appearing in Tyria, suddenly the system assigns me a new mission

 System "The Host arrived at a dangerous place due to a deadly disease (Psoriagris) so he is given a new mission: 1) Save people who can be saved from his disease, 2) Kill whoever attacks him to infect him and 3 ) Hide from infected people" says the voice

 Lancel 'The first option is ruled out, since it would take me a long time to clean his wounds as Samwell did in the series, the third option does not let me search Valyrian steel anywhere that the infected are, therefore I only have the second option, I don't see problems with killing if I'm just defending myself'

 Lancel"The second option" I tell the system

 System "The Host must kill whoever attacks him even if he flees" says the voice

 Lancel 'I didn't see that coming'

 I looked around me at some buildings with hieroglyphs of the Valyrian culture, then I left for the center of the city of Valyria

 Six months later I ask the system to transport me to where Daenerys is.

 Upon arrival I find Daenerys asleep in the room while Viserys reads the faith of the seven

 Lancel "It's been a while since we last saw each other" I tell him as he puts down the book and looks into my eyes

 Viserys "You have grown very fast, only by your hair and your eyes I recognize you" he tells me getting up and offering me a handshake

 Lancel "Hard to believe I'm only 8 years old" I tell him

 Viserys "And I'm 11, but you look like you're 14 years old" he tells me going to the window to see the stars in the night sky

 Lancel "That's why I told you that it will take a while until you are King of Westeros" I tell him approaching the window

 Viserys "The magister Illyrio has been giving me gifts and influencing my way of thinking, he has told me that Daenerys is guilty of being born late and that otherwise she would have married my brother Rhaegar" he tells me remembering Illyrio's words

 Lance "How did you meet him?" I ask remembering that they don't get to know each other until half a year before 297 a.C.

 Viserys "I met him long after the death of Ser Willem, a year ago he died and his death was strange. When I was in the streets with Daenerys since the servants took us out of the house that Ser Willem bought, two months ago my sister and I gathered with Illyrio" he tells me closing his eyes remembering

 Lancel "And what did you do with the coins?" I ask him intrigued

 Viserys "By carelessness they were stolen from me" he tells me with a sigh

 Lancel "What else has Illyrio told you?" I continue with my questions to figure out what he wants

 Viserys "He told me that I have to raise my anger to awaken the dragon" he tells me laughing. Apparently since I told him not to trust what he hears from the people in Braavos, he has kept those words in his heart.

 Lancel "Before I will help you sit on the Iron Throne, I want you to answer a few questions" I tell him. Then I sit on the windowsill with my eyes on the stars

 Viserys "Question" he tells me with seriousness in his eyes

 Lancel "Being King, what do you expect from your subjects? Do they comply with your orders or will you give them laws so that they all comply without exception?" I ask expecting a good answer

 Viserys "Since I lived for a time as a beggar, I know that I would not comply with the orders of people who have money, when you have nothing people look at you with obvious contempt on their face. So I would only give them laws that all subjects as well as royalty must comply. People with fewer resources must have decent jobs to survive" he tells me after analyzing his situation

 Lancel "If a person had a power that you couldn't control, what would you do?" I ask him, pleasing me with his first answer.

 Viserys "As long as he complies with the laws, he will be a loyal subject to the Kingdom, so I would not do anything to him" he tells me analyzing the question

 Lancel "For you, what comes first, love or duty? What if you had to choose between saving a city or the person you love? And you had to lead the army being in the same distance between both points? what would you choose?" I ask him

 Viserys "I can't choose between love and duty, because I have to fulfill both wisely, so my only solution would be to lead my army to the rescue, while I send my trusted subordinate to the rescue of my beloved" he replies, while I hear I'm happy with how he has changed and I don't have to kill him

 Lancel "Follow Illyrio's words, but with tact, you have to catch all the rats that can cause problems when you will be King of Westeros" I tell him thinking of Varys

 Viserys "I will do so, because I have thought that he will benefit from what he said me" he tells me looking into my eyes

 Lancel "Yes, we will find out as time goes on" I tell him looking at his lilac eyes. While I'll waiting for time to pass quickly to get to the beginning of the first book in the series

 Viserys "By the way, I forgot to ask how did you get here quietly?" he asks me intrigued

 Lancel "That's why it was the second question I asked you" I tell him making him remember that he can't force me to do something against my principles

 Viserys "You can trust me" he tells me

 Lancel "I'll just tell you that I'm going to appear wherever the little girl is" I tell him remembering Rhaegar's words about the three heads of the dragon. So far I've met two of them and I'll missing one who no one has paid attention to in the books like, as  well as in the series, and that only some have managed to understand it

 Viserys "What is your purpose?" he asks me seeing his sister

 Lancel "The survival of all, you still wouldn't understand even if I explained it to you and you would take me for insane" I tell him avoiding talking too much

 Viserys "Do you want to be my friend?" he asks me

 Lancel "I already am" I tell him. I like his answers, I know he will be a good King of Westeros.

 The next moment we see Daenerys wake up, the little girl looks at me nervously

 Daenerys "Who is brother?" she asks Viserys

 Viserys "A friend" tells her, he going for Daenerys. Apparently he has a good memory because he already speaks fluently at 3 and a half years old

 Viserys "Greets" says to Daenerys.

 Daenerys "Hello" he says tilting his head and Viserys shaking his head, it seems that this is not how he taught him

 Lancel "Hello Princess" I say tilting my head, and she laughing

 Lancel "I'm leaving, we'll see each other later" I tell him going out the window, while I tell the system to transport me to the room in Sunspear
