[Third-person POV]

"Lord Baelish, here is the letter sent by Lady Lysa," a man approached Petyr, handing him a sealed letter.

"Leave," Petyr ordered as he broke the seal of the letter and unfolded it.

"I see you're busy, Littlefinger," Varys entered the sitting room of Petyr's mansion without being summoned.

"What do you want this time, Varys?" Petyr asked, tucking the letter into his clothes.

"I've been informed that you failed to accomplish what I asked of you," Varys said, taking a drink from the table and leaning forward.

"The men I sent didn't return, so the help you asked for is harder to come by than I thought," Petyr said, lifting his cup and taking a sip.

"It's complicated, so much so that I'd prefer others to do it for me," Varys said with a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "And from what I understand, you want to make the Lannisters fight against the Starks."

"I don't know what you're talking about!" Petyr said with a louder tone than usual.

"It doesn't matter if you deny it, I know everything. But now's not the best time for you to do that, I need you on my side against the bastard," Varys said, turning his wine glass and spilling it on the floor.

"Tell me how you know, and I'll be on your side," Petyr said, his voice strained.

"You don't need to know, just follow orders and don't worry about the rest," Varys said, getting up and leaving the room.

"Varys, you're a very unruly man, you know too much, you shouldn't exist," Petyr clenched his fists as he analyzed how the information leaked. He then called his guards to see who let him in without notice.

In a room, Varys slides a stone and looks at an old, chained man, who asks him to fulfill the deal to free him in exchange for information.

"No, no, no. For your correct information, it's harder for me to set you free. This time, you'll have a nice plate of food as a reward," Varys said as he threw a piece of meat into the pit.

*Cough... cough...*

The man, after tasting the meat, began to cough uncontrollably and vomit.

"You're very bad, after I gave you bird meat," Varys said with a cruel smile.

"This was meat from a child," the man said, his hands trembling.

"No, it was from one of my little birds, that's your reward, like his, who failed me on a mission I gave him. So, if you give me false information from now on, this is what I'll feed you," Varys said, closing the pit with the stone.

"It's time to see my little birds," Varys entered a room where there were countless small children.

In Winterfell...

"Shut up! Sit down. You're worse than my mother," Bran looked down as he shouted. The wolf stopped howling as he felt a strange chill.

Bran climbed to the top of the broken tower, where no one else ever climbed. Bran went from gargoyle to gargoyle, with the ease that practice gives, when he heard the voices. He was so startled that he almost fell. He had never seen anyone in the First Keep.
