'Who the fuck is Steve?!'

I hesitated to answer it but I did.

"Nance!" A voice said. I thought of leaving it for Nancy to answer but before I knew it, I responded.

"Hello??" The voice said again.

"Yeah, sorry, who is this?" I answered but immediately regretted it. I cursed to myself and mentally slapped myself.

"Oh, I'm her boyfriend. Who's this?" I sighed.

"H-Her younger brother..?"

"Really? How old are you?"

"17. Why do you wanna know?" I snapped.

"Woah, no need to get feisty with me Byers. I'm 20."

"Sorry. Just kinda feel uncomfortable with you suddenly asking my age dude."

"Right, right, sorry. Uhm hey, do me a favor and tell your sister I called alright?

"Yeah, will do."

"Alright, thanks kid." He said and hung up. 'Who is he calling kid?'

Nancy finally came home and I handed Nancy her phone.

"You forgot your phone. Some guy called by the way." I said without saying anything else.

" 'Kay, thanks pip squeak." I rolled my eyes.

"I'm only 2 years younger than you!"

She laughed and ruffled my hair. "Whatever."

She went to her room and a few minutes later I heard her laughing with who I knew was her boyfriend 'Steve'.

The rest of the day went well. Nancy finally got off her phone and attacked me with pillows. My 12 year old brother, Will, came home from his friends house and joined in the attack.

I was pretty much powerless against both of them when they teamed up.

Talk about betrayal.

Nancy and I made dinner for mom and Will. I was going out with Argyle and some other friends for sushi. Nancy was helping babysit her best friend's baby brother while her family went on vacation.

"No! I'm serious! Nancy has a boyfriend!" I told the guys. "Ughhh!!" I heard one of them say.

"So your sister has a man already?" I nodded and slapped him and Argyle laughed.

"Dude! She's my sister! My friend can't date my sister idiot!" I said laughing. "Just eat your damn sushi!"

"Can you believe bro doesn't like pineapple pizza??" Argyle said and I groaned. "Uh oh not this again."

"I just don't okay? How do you guys like that shit?!" I said and they laughed.

"Mom..?" Nancy said as she walked into the living room.

"Yeah honey?" Mom hummed.

"Is it okay if Steve stays over while his parents are gone for vacation?" My ears perked up and I eavesdropped on the conversation. "Yeah of course darling! I don't want that boy home alone." Nancy hugged mom and ran towards to her room. In some way, I was kinda excited to meet her boyfriend but also kinda nervous.

I just pretended I didn't know a single thing just so I could ask some sort of question.

"Who's Steve?" My mom looked at me and smiled. "Your sisters little boyfriend sweetie. He's staying for about 3 weeks maybe a month until his parents come back home.

"Oh really? When is he arriving?"

"Tomorrow."

"Saturday? Why are his parents leaving without him?" She shrugged and continued washing the dishes. "Alright hon. Time for bed. Will is already asleep."

"Mom, I'm 17. I'm not a baby!"

She walked towards me and kissed my forehead and hugged me. "Yeah but you my baby and will forever be my baby." I groaned and smiled at her. "Fine, goodnight mom, love you."

She yawned and smiled back.
