"You fucking Idiots."

Okay, so we might've told Nancy the next morning about not having a plan.

Steve's parents arrive tomorrow and if we don't have a something to follow then we are all screwed.

He won't stop talking about how nervous he is and I see why.

Just imagine staying with your girlfriend's family at age twenty —while your parents go on vacation—and out of literally nowhere, you start dating her seventeen-year-old brother behind her back.

Then she finds out and so does her now thirteen-year-old brother.

Now your parents are coming back and you have no plan whatsoever.

Homophobic parents and guys dating guys aren't really the best mix.

"Hello?? Are you two even listening to me?!" Nancy huffed waving her hand in my face.

"Sorry, I was just thinking about something else. What were we on?"

She rolled her eyes and took a sip of her coffee.

Steve was next to me unlike Nancy, who was standing up, yelling at us.

"Okay. Steve, when your parents get back, they're going to want to visit and have dinner, correct?"

"Correct." He repeated.

"Did they know we were dating?"

He nodded.

"This is a lot harder than I thought it would..what if we pretend we were still together? Jonathan, can you pretend to literally hate him?" Nancy asked me, putting her coffee down.

"Oh, we weren't starting yet?"

He rolled his eyes a let his head rest on my shoulder. I could feel him smile back against it.

A knock on the door got our attention as Nancy walked towards it.

She turned to look at us.

"Are any of you expecting someone?"

We both shook our head

She opened the door and immediately called out to Will.

Steve lifted his head up and as soon as he saw Mike, Lucas, and Dustin walk in.

"Hey Steve!" Dustin greeted Steve.

Will came out of his room and told them to follow him.

Once they were gone we continued talking.

"Perfect! Now, mom invited Hopper and Jane over for Will's birthday. Seating will be chosen by me, and so will the food, so can you guys start getting everything ready? I'mma head out to the store to pick up a few things..oh! And a cake!"

"Of course we can set a dinner table. what are we? Five?" I said sarcastically. She gave me a look knowing that the last time we had to set the table, I was a mess.

She left after a few minutes.

We had plenty of time to get everything ready. Nothing was to difficult to do so we got done with everything fast.

The cleaning and dishes were done.

All the rooms were pretty clean as well thanks to those long hours.

Will was in his room playing DnD with his friends.

Now all that was left was a dinner table.

"How do we set this up again?" Steve asked.

"I don't know. She never told us how she wanted it to be or look."

He mumbled some words under his breath before speaking again.

"Should we just wait for her to be back?"

I shook my head knowing that she would yell at us again. I walked over to Will's room and knocked before opening it.

"Do any of you guys know how to set a table?" I said.

'17-years-old and you don't know how to set a table, Jonathan? This is embarrassing —you asking 13-year-olds— oh please.' I thought to myself.

"Not really, have you asked Steve?" Lucas asked with a grin.

"He doesn't know either. Thanks anyway." I responded and closed the door on my way out.

~~

We finally figured out exactly how she wanted it.

Nancy and mom got the food ready just in time.

The doorbell rang and mom went over to open it.

This should be fun.
