After we finished getting pizza we went back home and no one said anything on the way back.

I opened the door and smiled when I saw our puppy running towards us.

"Hey, ya know what you guys forgot to do?" Steve asked.

Nancy looked up from her phone and raised a brow while I turned my head to look at him.

"What?"

"Name him. The dog needs a name." He said.

Nancy nodded and walked out of the kitchen. "Steve's right. He needs a name," she gasped and grabbed on to Steve's shoulder like she was going to faint.

"How about Rocket!?" She exclaimed.

Steve hissed in pain from her digging her nails into his shoulder.

"Oh my God, Steve, sorry!" She said and let her grip on his shoulder go.

He shrugged it off and rubbed his shoulder with his hand.

"Okay, so Rocket?"

"Yeah! It's cute and has a nice ring to it." I said and got up.

Steve came out of the guest bedroom and put on his shoes. He got a bottle of water out of the fridge and came over to kiss my cheek.

I smiled.

"Where're you going?" I asked and he opened the door.

"Work, I'll be back later in the afternoon." I got up and ran out the door.

"Great! I'm coming with you!"

He closed the door and walked to the car. Nancy then opened the door and just stood there with her arms crossed.

"Jonathan! Where are you going??" She said from the top step.
"I'm going with Steve to his work!" She nodded and gave me a thumbs up before heading back inside and closing the door.

Once we arrived, Steve started working behind the counter. It didn't take long until costumers started filling the place.

Then a mom and her child came in and started ordering.

"Hi!" The woman said. She looked down at her son and tugged on his hand.

"Tell him what you want baby, they have.." she said and started pointing and saying all the flavors.

Steve smiled at the kid. I just sat there with my hand in the pocket of my sweater.

The mom then asked if she was able to run out to her car to fetch her wallet and watch her kid.

Of course we agreed.

"Can I have one of those ch...choc..o..lat..e thingys?" He said trying to sound out the word displayed on the board above.

"Yeah, what size?"

The boy looked at his shirt and started talking.

"Well, my mom says I'm a small. Maybe an 8 but I'm not sure.."

Steve looked confused at first then he let out a small 'oh' and rested his hands on the counter.

"That's a size for shirts kid." He said laughing a bit.

"No! My mommy said i was an 8!"

I was fighting the smile that tried to appear on my face and Steve knew that.

"Okay, kid. Do you wanna wait for your mom so she can order for you?" He asked.

"No. I'm not stupid!"
