Parents Day..Kinda...

After we ate Jane got to spend time with Will and his friends. Hopper was with my mom and Nancy while Steve and I sat down watching TV.

They left not long after with a simple 'goodbye' and 'see you next time'.

It reached 11pm and we all went our separate ways to our bedrooms.

Again, Steve talked to me about how nerve-racking this whole thing was with his parents.

And I, of course, listened and understood him throughout the conversation.

I got into bed and covered myself with my blanket.
The bed was nice and warm with a cozy sensation.

I didn't fall asleep until one in the morning thinking about Steve and his parents, especially his father.

Will then barged into my room at 7:00 with a strange look as if he was nervous or scared.

I sat up and asked him what had happened but he didn't answer.

He sat himself down on the corner of the bed. Not a word escaped his mouth as he just sat there thinking about what to say.

"Hey, you can talk to me ya know. What's the matter?"

"Jonathan..I think I like someone."

"Really? Who is it? It's not Jane...is it?"

"No it's not Jane. It's not a girl either.."

Realization hit me like a train and my first instinct was to hug him.
He smiled before hugging me back and sighing.

I pulled away and took the blanket off me so I could get a better view.

"Am I the first person you've told about your crush?"

"That's the thing..it feels like so much more than just a crush. But, yeah. You're kinda the person I feel safest with telling this to, ya know, since your dating Steve and all.."

I nodded but still had a sort of curiosity of who it was.

"Who is it then?"

"Mike.."

Some part of me felt like I knew who it was already, yet, I was still somewhat shocked.

He always hangs out with him and stares at him like he's in love with Mike.

"Well, I'm glad you told me. I'm proud of you."

Will stayed silent when he sprung up to hug me again.

I patted his back.

He wiped the one singular, nervous year from his eye and got up.

"I-I gotta go finish my homework.." He said and left me to sit alone on my bed.

"Hey, I'm going to work, wanna come with?" Steve asked me once we had all finished lunch.

I nodded and sent a smile his way.

He got up and went over to the guest bedroom to change.
Not long after going inside he came out in his Scoops Ahoy outfit.

"You look adorable Stevie.."

He looked away from me flustered and grabbed his keys before grabbing my hand and leading me to his car.

Robin was already there taking people's orders when we arrived.

She looked up at us and waved.

"Hey Harrington! Hi Byers!" She greeted, happier than ever.
